So, I'm taking a solo trip to WDW from November 26th to December 6th. I've already booked one MVMCP on November 29th along with the holiday wishes dessert party... but now I'm having a change of heart. From what I hear, it's not a struggle to get a fireworks spot on party night, so... should I drop the dessert party and switch it up for another MVMCP? or maybe the newly announced December 3rd date for DAH?

Some further info:

- I can't have gluten. Or much dairy. Or soy. Yes it's a pile of fun. So at dessert parties I usually get a lame box of treats. I mostly book them because I hate wasting time staking out a spot for parades and fireworks.

- I've never done MVMCP. I've actually never been to WDW during the holiday season.

- I have done DAH before. I loved it, NGL. I was the only one in the enchanted tiki room and I am still thrilled about it lol

- I have an AP, so there is a discount.

So, thoughts? Drop the dessert party? keep it? do them all? none? one? Help! I think my brain is getting planned out.... :scared:

Thank You! :worship:

Agree with NancyG to drop dessert and add DAH. HOWEVER, since you may have an easy time to catch most of the attractions during the MVMCP, do you need DAH and the small crowds?? It may be a good idea to wait until you do the party and then determine if you need more.
Sounds AWESOME. Have a great time.

I would do both. I've never done DAH, so would love to experience it one time, plus I would imagine the crowds are much lower. Even though you can't eat the desserts, I would keep MVMCP. I NEVER eat the desserts. I'm there for all the other things, like the characters, the special celebrations and the vibe overall. We got hot chocolate one time, but I would not go out of my way to do it again. What we usually do is try to get a dining reservation (for MVMCP) at one of the restaurants from 5:45 - 6:15, and have a nice dinner while they clear the park. IMO, there's too much to do to worry about food. Last time we did the party we got in around 3:45, had fps for SM, 7DMT and Splash, ate dinner (6:10 reservation) at Jungle Canteen, came out from dinner and started to party. (That was MNSSHP) The time before that (MVMCP), we had dinner at CRT around 5:30, came out and immediately headed toward, Mickey's circus (where Jack Skellington was) waited around 30 minutes, then jumped in line for Scrooge McDuck. It's really all in what you like and what you are there to experience.

I would drop the dessert party and do DAH! We did the MVMCP dessert party last year and the plaza garden was so crowded we might as well have just gotten a spot with the general crowd. There aren't a lot of projections on the castle, so even if you are way down Main St., you'll still have a good view. As a party of one, you will have no trouble finding a good spot.

I would definitely drop the dessert party. As far as a second MVMCP or DAH, that depends on what you want to do. If you want all the special stuff at MVMCP including a lot of meet and greets then I would do a second party. If you are looking for rides with low wait times I would do DAH. The ride lines during MVMCP will not be as low as DAH and there are less rides open. I personally am doing both MVMCP and DAH this year.

Sorry I misunderstood. I thought you were talking about MVMCP which is a must do for me. I did two desser parties and didn’t like either. Don’t like the desserts, it rained, I did the Star Wars one and didn’t like their desserts either plus I don’t drink thought the viewing area poor. I would drop any dessert party and do DAH for sure. EMM if you can.

Having done a DAH event and the MVMCP I would do a 2nd Christmas party. The DAH is nice but it felt like a party without the extra stuff to me, it's basically only to ride rides. No special parade or fireworks or characters, I would rather do a 2nd party and have the opportunity to do things I missed at the 1st one.

Thanks everyone! I bit the bullet and cancelled the dessert party and booked DAH. I might still do a second MVMCP, but I'll see how much I like the first one I have booked feel it out from there. :-) Doing DAH frees up some day park time that I had planned on spending in MK, so that's an extra win.

We always do two MVMCP's when we are there but then we live in the UK so don't make it over the pond every year.
