2nd bedroom in BCV...

My in-laws are staying at BCV right now and are in a 2 bedroom unit but said that the 2nd bedroom has a bed and pull out couch but confirmed to me that it is a dedicated, not a lock-off. Is that possible?

Yes. BCV is the one location that has some dedicated 2BR's that have 2 queens and some that have a queen and a sleeper. Apparently there was either a construction or design problem and they could not place 2 beds in all of the dedicated. When you reserve you do know which one you are getting though.

Yep, there are 2 kinds of dedicated 2 bedrooms. This is were the 11 month window really comes into play. The dedicated 2 bedrooms with 2 beds in the second room go quickly. The other dedicated 2 bedroom has the 1Q/1SB. OP this should be listed on your confirmation sheet, so you should've known what your set up was before you arrived. I've had both types. It is still dedicated as there is no kitchenette (replaced with a huge vaniety) and no outside door.

There are only 25 dedicated two bedroom villas at BCV that have two queen beds in the second bedroom.

Thanks everyone! Just out of curiosity, how does it list both types of 2 bedrooms on the confirmations, I'd be curious if they should have realized that they will not have 2 beds in there to begin with. Thanks again!

If you have the 2 queens, it lists 2 bedroom dedicated / w 2 queens. There may be abbreviations, but you should have the important words, dedicated and 2 queens.

The rooms with two queens is a booking category that has to be booked when you make your reservations.

So unless you ask for it and see if it is available you will not get them. As stated there are only 25.

I didn't know that either.
We are going down next friday. We have 2 queens reserved. I think MIL likes the first floor. Oh well I like the upper floors for the privacy of a balcony.

We've never made a request but the 2 or 3 times that we had the dedicated 2 bedroom with 2 queens, we were never on the 1st floor. I'm guessing we were on the 2nd or 3 floor each time and it was never the same villa.

I was able to reserve the dedicated 2 bedroom with 2 queen beds at the 7th month window for mid August. So it is possible.

Yep, not impossible, but the 2 beds in the second room are highly desired by the owners. I actually had the dedicated with 2 Q beds once and I wasn't suppose to. I had the dedicated with Q and pullout and to my surprise when I got my room (second floor 204), they had given me a room with 2Qs. I was pleasantly surprised. The other 2 times I got the 1Q/pullout. But all three times there were the dedicated 2 bedrooms. Since I'm not a BCV owner, all 3 times were booked at the 7 month window and all for August each time.
