2nd American hostage reported killed

I agree - totally. But, that's why we are there, to try to put a stop to some of that.

I cannot help wonder why civilians don't stay out of such hot areas...but I know all these men had honourable intentions of making a difference and doing good.

God Rest his soul and that of the one killed yesterday...It's a very troubled world still.

Dan, I think "slimeballs" is too nice a term to use on that inhumane sludge that crawled out of a septic tank that had been left out in the blazing hot sun for months on end. :earseek:

May God grant peace to the souls on those who lost their lives and their loved ones left behind. :(

awful.

Companies have enough money to lure low-income workers to go over there but not enough money to protect them at any cost.

dispicable

I heard this news and about passed out, since this person has the same name as my husband's family, but fortunately its not someone who is related to them. I so feel for the people who are. :( Sick, sick, sick people in this world. :(

Reading the subject line made my stomach turn. I didn't know...I was cautiously checking Yahoo news today hoping not to see any bad news about the other 2 hostages. I thought "so far so good" but unfortunately, it's not good. :(

I hope (and prayed) that he and the other hostage that was murdered yesterday didn't suffer; I know that sounds crazy but I truly believe all things are possible through God (I also believe in angels being with us when we die). I also pray everyday for their families, that they can get through this with strength and courage and I'll continue to pray for the safety of the last remaining hostage (the poor guy must be so scared and horrified) and all the other hostages being held elsewhere. There's so much to pray for these days. :sad1:

It's so very sad, that these soul-less monsters can hate that much. There's no reasoning with them. They will kill anyone, even fellow Arabs/Muslims for their 'cause'. I hope they get their just reward and soon.

I dread "breaking news" on TV nowadays, because of the state of the world. My heart skips a beat every time. :sad2: Does that happen to anyone else?

So sorry to ramble on but it kind of makes me feal better to vent a little.

Had a 13 yr old daughter I think.

carl--this wasn't happening to americans before our invasion, so, we cannot be there to stop an activity that did not begin until we invaded.

minnie56; km2004.....A sign of a good economy is not the fact that thousands of civilians will leave their families, knowing they could be killed, in order for them to pay their bills.

But, yes, I agree, a horrible, horrible thing. Expect more of this though, simply because of the emotional impact it has on the American Citizen. Unfortunately, it does not appear that our invasion forces can do much to protect these people, as they seem to have trouble protecting themselves.

Me too.

I cannot fathom that these demented morons believe that killing innocent people makes "God" as they know him happy. It's a sad/sick world.

Lord, help these families.

Unfortunately, the hostage yesterday was more gruesome than the ones before. Not a sword, but a hand knife was used.

I just read about this on AOL's main page. I haven't been online this afternoon much and had the TV off. I was scared of what I would see when I did get on here.

It makes my heart break when I read these stories or see it on TV. Our 10 year old DS always asks us "why would they do that to someone?" I never have any idea what to say except that they're cruel, heartless people who don't care about other human beings. Obviously, I have other things I'd LOVE to say but I'll keep my mouth shut around DS.

The world has gone mad. This makes me so angry and helpless. I felt that whatever we are doing over there is not working, but yet there seems to be no way out. No alternatives either.

That's true. They just blew up our embasies around the world, blew up our Navy Ships in port, Blew up our skyscrapers, and dennis99ss, I believe had we not gone in, we would be have homicide bombers in our cities by now!

G-d bless these innocent men who (for whatever reason) went to Iraq to make it a better place for all.

Yep. It's a religion of peace, remember?

It's horrific.

My thoughts are now with Ken Bigley, that poor man and his family. :(:(:(
