We are currently booked for 4 nights starting Nov. 9th. It is just hubby and myself. It is also a non park trip. I have changed our resorts several times this week. :rolleyes1Overthinking everything. We have never ever ever done just a resort trip. We have also never ever been to Disney without at least one of our kids. Been going since 1992 and have been DVC members since 2007. I think these two reasons is why I am so indecisive. LOL

Right now we are at BLT in a standard room our first 2 nights and then moving to BCV in a studio for our last 2 nights. I really wanted to see the Christmas decorations at the monorail resorts and eat at Whispering Canyon. SO I am good for the BLT stay. I think!! :rotfl2: It is the BCV part I am not so sure about. Part of me wants to change it to SSR in a preferred (newly renovated room) for easy access to Disney Springs. However, BCV is always so hard to get into, but then again we are not going to Epcot or HS. I guess we would ride the Sky Liner for something else to do if we keep BCV.:scratchin We did stay 8 nights in March at OKW and did 7 days of parks with our youngest son and our daughter and son-in-law and we did go on the sky liner a couple of times on that trip.

Any suggestions..... advice....other than STOP CHANGING MY MIND. LOL THANK YOU!!!

We are doing resort only for the first time. For Xmas I like the monorail resorts, brv, and akv. Will you have a car or are you using Disney transportation that would sway where I would want to stay

I’m not really a big Disney Springs fan, I prefer Boardwalk area but it might depend what restaurants you are booking while you are there?

Not planning on a car. We ubered a few times this past March so that is something we don't mind doing.

I booked Trattoria al Forno for dinner one of the BCV nights. We have a lunch at Chef Art Smith's. on the BCV days. We have Whispering Canyon booked too. I haven't figured out the rest yet.

If you’re not going into HS or epcot, I would probably do SSR bc of easy access to DS.

it seriously would drive me bonkers seeing epcot but not be able to go in.

Also, is there much activity on the boardwalk bc of the new restrictions? I think (I’m not sure) storm along bay may be closed but don’t quote me.

On a non kids trip, storm along bay is less appealing to me...

Good luck. No bad choice ;)

I'd stay put (because all I'm doing is making myself and probably DH crazy, LOL). You'll have fun no matter what you choose, if you can find a way to stop playing "but what if"!!

There are four beautiful resorts on Crescent Lake, and all will be beautifully decorated for the Holidays. There are several excellent restaurants in those Resorts, too. You can always hop a bus or take an Uber/Left/cab to DS for a day. If they are running, consider splurging for a Minnie Van.

I LOVE BCV, but recently changed a BCV January stay to something with fewer points, BWV standard, yes, it just came up 4 months ahead. The points had been borrowed, and it’s good to see them put back. I don’t know what sort of points you are using, but if you can benefit by using fewer points, I would likely go with SSR, or WL BWV standard.

The holiday decorations may be a lot less than usual at the resorts. No gingerbread houses, no chocolate carousels, etc. Probably a tree or two, but they might not be as big as in the past. I wouldn't want to change resorts after only two nights. I'd do four nights in one location.

I think Beach Club would be nice if you were going to Epcot or DHS. Unless you like the idea of eating at the Epcot area resorts and just relaxing by the pool, I would switch to SSR to be close to Disney Springs

Yeah I knew about the gingerbread house and the chocolate carousel. :(

Yeah this is definitely bugging me about picking the best place. I love all the resorts and never really care most trips where we stay. I think with the way things are now.....I am over thinking everything.

Thanks Bobbi!!

I’d do bcv/bwv and ssr since you won’t have a car. This way you can walk to ds when you want. You can also take a bus from ds to any resort you want to go see. We are doing resort only trip but we will have a car bc Disney transportation is taking even longer now with the restrictions. If you plan to go to ds a lot being able to walk there might be a better choice.
