2br in October Waitlist Chances?

What do you think the chances are for a 2br to become available for Oct 25-28 this year?

Just bought a resale contract with 150 banked points that expire January 31. Originally I planned to rent them out.

Also have a girls trip planned for this fall (4 adults). Currently we have 2 rooms at BWI booked cash, hoping to apply my sister’s AP rate when those discounts are released.

Now I’m wondering if I should try to use the banked points to waitlist a 2br instead of renting them.

(We want 2 bathrooms and 4 sleeping surfaces with as many real beds as possible. I’d like to stay at BW or BC, but AKV could be fun too... We are going mostly for F&W and the SW madness.)

What would you do?

Really bad. You're looking for multiple days, in a sold out period, where many people have waitlisted ahead of you.

I would not bother with a waitlist at BWV. Every 2BR there is a lock-off, so any booked 2BR can go to fill Studio and 1BR waitlists ahead of you.

Your best bets would be OKW, SSR or AKV Savannah (Kidani).

Thanks. I figured it might be a longshot. I didn’t even think of everyone who’s already on the waitlist!

I think I’ll just stick with my original plan.

I wanted a week Oct 2016 in a 2BR standard view at AKV. I waitlisted right at the 7 month mark. It never came through (thankfully I had my home resort already so not a big deal).
Hopefully you can get a good AP discount at a resort you want. Any chance you’ve checked for any magical deals? (If you don’t know what I’m talking about, google that phrase) I’ve had good luck getting great rates through them when I don’t want to use my points.

A BWV two bedroom won't get you four real beds. Just one king bed, one queen sleeper sofa, one queen bed, one double sleeper sofa and one bunk sized murphy bed. But if you are just looking for sleeping surfaces that would work. If you want real beds, you'll need to waitlist a dedicated two bedroom (or a two bedroom at OKW).

Op, put your waitlist in. You just never know. SSR has been releasing villas lately for October and November.

I have had 2 waitlists fill in the last month for poly studios in late October.

Waitlist SSR and OKW. Also, stalk the resort availability tool on the member website. Availability changes all the time when members cancel reservations. Sometimes, you can catch the cancellation and book it before the waitlist catches it!

If I were you, I would much rather use my expiring points instead of paying cash for 2 regular Disney rooms!

Yeah. Absolutely try to wait-list. I just wouldn't bother with BWV wanting a 2BR because of.configuration. too unlikely.
