My family will be staying in a dedicated 2BR at the VWL in about 5 weeks. My group LOVES balconies. I know that they are pretty small at this resort, however, by looking at pictures of the outside it looks like there are some with larger or combined type balconies. We want to stay on the side facing the water and am hoping that can happen. Does anyone know more about the balcony sizes for the 2BR and which ones are a little bigger that we should try and request when checking in???

TIA for your help!!!

I can't tell you what to request, but I can tell you what not to take. If they tell you you have a corner room off the rotunda/atrium, ask for another room. :thumbsup2 We had a water view, but only one balcony. No fun, and we only had 4 adults.

we had a dedicated 2 br with a long balcony..sorry don't remember the room number it was on the 5th floor the last room down the hallway facing the lake

Oh no, now I am worried. We have requested that room...the atrium room because so many people said it was slightly bigger inside! However, I did notice yesterday that it looked like there was only 1 balcony for that room...strange.

I guess when we get there maybe we will ask for the 5th floor instead!

Thanks a bunch!!

Not trying to start an argument here, but we had the corner room last January, and what you heard is correct. The room is larger and for that reason I would take it again in a heartbeat! Our party consisted of 4 adults and 3 small boys. We just took turns being on the balcony.

Here is a floor plan of a corner room, along with a one bedroom on each side of it....

WOW, thanks!! Now that is one of the best pics/layouts I have seen through my researching. It looks like the kitchen is closed in without a bar area, is that true?
So, it is really the family to choose if they would rather have a bigger LR or Balcony...that is if we even have a choice!

The kitchen is closed in, but there is not a bar area as in the other two bedrooms. However, the table is larger and can easily seat 4 people.
