At OKW, are there two different types of two-bedroom villas? If so, which do you prefer? I don't think this is true, but I thought I would ask.

My guess is the different types are a dedicated 2br or a 2br lock-off. The lock off wold be a studio connected to a 1br unit. @ OKW all of the studios have 2 queen beds in them (vs. one queen and a pull out sofa @the other DVC resorts) plus a kitchenette and a bathroom. Since the bed situation is the same I would guess the difference in the dedicated 2br would be no kitchenette.

You could post on the DVC board to find out for sure.

The above poster is correct. There are dedicated 2Bdrs and lock-offs. The difference is the kitchenette and a separate entrance, both of which the 2bdr doesn't have. The lock-offs are useful when you are travelling with other adults/family members. We've preferred the dedicated ones when our children were younger...one less door to worry about them wandering out of!

It is my understanding that there is also a villa set-up with additional access to the master bathroom through the laundry/utility room?

The access to the master bathroom through the laundry room is available in all building numbered 30+ I believe. The first buildings build did not have this, but as construction continued it was changed.

The access to the bathroom through the laundry room is super handy if you have guests sleeping on the foldout in the living room. They don't have to go through the bedroom to get to the toilet/sink/shower area of the split master bathroom.

I think the 2 BR lock-off would also have a seperate little balcony. We've had the 2 BR dedicated, and it just has extra counter space in the 2nd bedroom where the kitchenette would be. That's the reason why we liked the dedicated.
As far as the access to the bathroom, we stayed in a building that didn't have that second access in November, with DMIL. We chose it because it had a much better view than what was available with the second access. I'll tell ya-by the end of the week, we really wished we'd made the other choice! Yes, it was a very nice view, but to have DMIL trooping through the bedroom every time she had to go potty (although she was very quick and quiet about it) felt VERY strange!
