What a fun end to a great trip!!! I'm glad you guys got out of there before the storm hit. You always seem to know when its time to leave...its an art!!

What an ADORABLE picture of little Blake!!!!!

Yay!! John finally rode soarin!! And how exciting that Blake was finally tall enough! And that you got a little pixie dust!

Those highland games looked fun! Love the log throwing! Haha

Hooorrayyy for Blake and John's first ride on Soarin'! I'm so happy they both had a great time!!

Those Highland Games look very cute! The boys looks so serious and into it!

I am so glad they both enjoyed their first ride on Soarin'! What great pixie dust!!
And how cute are those little Brave boys!! I love the sand sculpture they do for all the movies - so cool!!

Your boys are just so cute and funny!

I love Andrew's retort to the CM about his hair!

I just read about the AP previews and thought of you and your family. Really hope you get the day and time that works best for you. :tink:

Love the new fantasyland/belle update. It looks so cool, I am so excited for next year!

Great start to the birthday visit. How old we're the boys again?

Not sure if I commented before, but I am sooo jealous you got to stay at Poly - it looks lovely.

AOA looks amazing!

Love those Potato Head pictures!

Sorry you got off to a bad start at POR...I know I would be super disappointed in that situation too. I'm glad you guys ended up having a fun evening anyway!

Love the room. And all the pics of AoA look really cool! Sounds like it was a good day (minus that stupid view screw up! Errr!)

I am in the process of changing my resort reservation for February. Was at Art of Animation, but with the Disney visa discount, moving up to a moderate was cheaper. Really wanted POR, but all that was available was the Royal Rooms and that was MORE than anything else - skipping that, we will be at Caribbean Beach - haven't stayed there in over 10 years!
Sorry your experience wasn't the best, but hey - its still Disney!!!

What cute potato head pictures - those boys are growing too fast!!

CBR is cute! I wish we didn't have such a rough time with mousekeeping there, or I'd be going back! I loved the Nemo stuff in their rooms. When's your February trip? I'm trying for our AP ending whatever weekend has the 23rd in it. :confused3

It was still Disney, but that was just rotten. If they sell you a room, it should be there! John did lecture me about overselling vs leaving rooms open, but I still don't agree with it! I think it hurt more because I never bother with the view. If we're at the resort, it's never mattered what's on the other side of my window. Aside from our free stay at Pop from Last Minute Travel, I don't think I've ever booked anything over standard. Figures this would happen when I do!

The very worst part was that they didn't say anything about the change. That's just wrong to keep the rate difference. (Of course we got ours' back by calling, but how many just accept it because "It's still Disney"??) It's funny because they wouldn't have lost anything by saying it wasn't available. I would've switched to AKL at check in! It was only around 97 bucks more for pool view with the same dates. :headache:

I will be there Feb 21-25th. I am doing the Royal Family 5K during Princess Half Marathon weekend. I am looking forward to CBR, haven't been there in years! I always book standard. I don't spend enough time in the room to enjoy the benefits of a nice view. Although this past January, we did upgrade to a Garden View at POFQ - because of the discount. Man I love that resort!
There is a difference between a request and actually purchasing the upgraded view. They should have told you and refunded the difference up front!

I know it wasn't the view you wanted but the room does look lovely.

Hope the rest of the birthday trip is much better.

Did you manage to get in to the Fantasyland previews yet? I can't remember what date you could try to get tickets for. :confused3

Maybe we'll run into each this time. I'm not even thinking about February yet though. December is causing enough headaches. John was able to get a big chunk of time off work. He didn't take enough, so it's a "use it or lose it" situation. We should've stayed longer in June! I'd have to take Andrew out of school, so I'm unsure. :confused3 We'll talk to his teacher next week anyway. I see more Disney in our future!

You know I'm with you about views! I'm usually more concerned about how close we are to the car. :rotfl: You've got me thinking about CBR again! How's POFQ? I wasn't sure about the look of it, but sometimes the price is nice when I check.

Would love it if we ran into yáll!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE POFQ!! The place is quaint and small and nothing is very far from anything else. The pool slide is too cute. I love the boats to DTD and you can use the pool over at Riverside too. The rooms are lovely. We had a "Garden View" room, which meant it faced the inside of a square with a big rectangle of green yard. No big deal - but they did set up a big blow up screen and watched Tangled out there one night - very cute!!
