Elvis died on my 13th birthday (I was watching My Three Sons when the news broke in) I won't tell you how old I turned today either!

mickeymousemom said:Okay..this is slightly embarrassing, but where my mom could remember exactly where she was and what she was doing when JFK was killed, well...I remember exactly what I was doing when they announced Elvis had died. I was 11 years old and eating dinner. We had fried potatoes, barbecue chicken, and green beans. There was a TV in the kitchen and when they announced it on the news I ran in to tell my mom(she wasn't eating with us at the time). She didn't believe me until she turned on the TV in the living room. I'll never forget it.![]()
Of course, that big "moment in time" for me has been replaced by 9/11.
I love Elvis, though. Really.
You aren't forgotten, King...![]()
