29 weeks Pregnant and 1 CM dilated...

Since my first arrived 6 weeks early, the doctor decided to 'check things out' months before my second was born. She was due in Sept. and this was June. To my amazement, I was already 2 cm!! :earseek: The doctor laid down the law.............take things easy, drink lots of fluid, no more picking up, unless no other option is there, my then 35 lb. 16 mo. old son (!! ), no.....ah, how to say this..............interaction with my husband.............limit stairs. Not only did my daughter stay put, I had to be induced after my due date......and even with that, they had to have a rather large nurse squeeze me like a tube of toothpaste because the baby wouldn't descend! (she was stubborn even then!! :hyper: )

Good luck to you. Just relax, take it easy for awhile...........pretty soon, you'll give anything to have some "down time"!! ::yes::

I was on full bedrest and on Brethine with DS (now 13yo) from 30 weeks to 36 weeks. They told me that I would probably have him as soon as they took me off the Brethine at 36 weeks. They finally induced him when he was 5 days LATE.

I started the preterm labor with DD#1 (now 11yo) at 30 weeks, too. I was on partial bedrest with her (not full, because of my experience with DS). She was induced at 9 days late (and over 10 lbs.)

By the time I started the preterm labor with DD#2 (now 4yo) I was already on partial bedrest because of other issues, but by then I knew the preterm labor was going to be a pain but not an issue. She was induced 3 weeks early because of the other issues.

Bottom line is, you could still be in for a good long pregnancy!

Pretty much, yeah, it's pretty normal.

Can you find someone that can come over and take care of things for you. Maybe some of the housecleaning duties, go grocery shopping for you, and help you take care of your daughter?

Also, have you thought about letting your daughter stay with someone while you're in the hospital and a few days after you get home. I know it's not the best case thing, but I'm worried about how things will go while you aren't home.

I guess what I'm saying is do you have anyone that can come and help you?
