We are going at Christmas time for the first time ever. The last two times were in a tent on Spanish Moss. This time we are going in a 30` pull behind. Needless to say we are extremely excited about our trip. Since this is our first time at Christmas I was wondering if there are any "must dos" that we need to know about.

Take the time to view the decorations of the Fort while you are there. It's a nighttime activity but it's almost too much to see in one night. It's not so much WDW's decore but the campers bring game for the season.

So we hear! My wife is really stressing about how she`s going to decorate. It`s fun for me watching and listening to her.

Well,

my advice for you to her is to say she won't be able to keep up with the real pro's there at the Fort THIS year. Some of it you must see to believe.

Tell her to make a good effort, see what other folks do to decorate, then plan your assault for the next Christmas. :santa:

We like to visit all the other resorts to look at their decorations ... the GF and the gingerbread house is a must see. We usually drive since getting to some of the outlying resorts like All-Star, Saratoga Springs, etc. via WDW transportation can really be time consuming.

Agreed on seeing the decorations at the Fort and at the resorts. We'll be there the same time you are, but in a cabin.

2 years ago we had a blast cruising around in a golf cart at night checking out all the decorations from the guests at the fort. VERY entertaining and well done.

It's easy to see the resort decorations for the Wilderness Lodge (My personal favorite) and the Monorail resorts. But the others you're better off driving too. We booked a dinner at Boma this year just so I have an excuse to visit the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

The campfire at the fort also has a fun holiday spin to it since Chip and Dale are in their scarves and hats. And on a cooler night, the fire just feels better. :)

Have a great time!!!!

Absolutely don't worry about it! Bamaed is right, you can't keep up anyway, so just do a little for yourself to make it cheery. There's nothing worse than spending a lot of time decorating and undecorating when you could be enjoying the parks, the Fort, etc.

We throw a few strings of white lights on the ground to outline our site, put up a wreath on the door, a couple of stockings, and I have a small fiber optic tree for the camper with no ornaments. Piece of cake and it looks like Christmas. Also some Mickey clings for the windows I usually find at Walgreens.

Merry Christmast! We're there Dec. 3-12.:santa:
