.

Your situation is similar to one we have in the neighborhood. The people have their ENTIRE GARAGE plastered in porno. If there garage is open, you get an eyeful.

OMG! I can't believe anyone would actually think it's ok to do this! I think of myself as far from prudish, but this is just a matter of logic! (Well, I guess if you think it's ok to have sex in your car on the road, then you would be ok with this, but I still think that's ridiculous). Regardless of your personal opinion, the inside of a car is obviously not seen as a private place by the law. You can get arrested for being naked or having sex in your car in public, so this is just another comparable activity. If people out in public can see it, then it's public. And a big PUH-LEASE to people who claim to not look at other people in their cars. Then how do you know when they're waving you on or asking you to let them into traffic? Just because there is a piece of glass between you and them does not make them any less public than if they were walking down the street. And the last I noticed, it's not rude to look at the people walking down the street. Furthermore, you don't think kids (esp ones riding in SUVs) don't look into other people's cars?

And Dana, if you're getting undressed in your house in front of an open window, you're still an exhibitionist. But even if that weren't true, you can't see the difference between being in a car where hundreds of people per hour are within 10 feet of your window vs. being in your home? How many people come that close to your home windows every hour?

Being in your car is more similar to being in a storefront window than being in your home.

I would rather the car next to me have on a porno movie then the guy be picking his nose, dont people know cars have windows

LOL

I though the talking on the cell phone
thing was a risk to safe driving!

Wow! I've never seen anything like that, but I have been seated a row behind and across the row from someone on a flight (in first class) who was using his laptop to edit the content on his pornographic website. I suppose since he wasn't DRIVING that's his perogative, but I don't think folks who are behind the wheel should be viewing something so...distracting.

Never thought someone would ask this question. Oh well.

I'd say, just ignore it. It's like, people swearing right next to you constantly, or telling me that I'm going to hell in my subway ride because I don't believe in blah blah and blah. Should be illegal, but then the prison is too full.

Let's hope they don't start watching porno on the 4/5/6 train here.

Aren't these screens in the center of the vehicle, aimed for viewing in the back seat? I can't imagine seeing these images clearly -(aren't the screens something like 10"??)from an adjacent car-we're talking a 8 foot span...and if the adult couple was in the front seat, who was watching the film in the back? More adults?

Who was driving that car Chip, Pee Wee Herman???? . . .

;)

:teeth:

Seriously, I don't think it's wrong from any kind of legal or moral standpoint, but it seems unnecessary and in poor taste. I agree with Chipperdini's point that while an adult could notice and then ignore something like that, a kid probably wouldn't.

Is there anything that exciting on DVD that they couldn't wait until they got home to watch it?

Whoa, Chipperdini, I was trying to agree with you. It's hard not to notice, whether you're trying to or not, the glow from one of those TV sets. Even if you're not purposely looking into others cars, it's hard not to do a double take to make sure you saw what you think you saw. I think that's human nature. Thinking that you just saw porn on it, IMO, would cause at least ME to do a triple take.

I know that when we're on the road and the kids notice that someone has a TV on, they coax me to get closer so they can see what they're watching.... not very likely that I'm going to speed or drive unsafely for this to happen.
Whtyger97, I don't get how you're comparing religious viewing to viewing porn. Last time I checked, you didn't have to be 18 to view religion, but you do to legally view porn. I'd rather that the kids got a view of Mother Angelica than, well... you get the picture.

DocRafiki... very well said. I agree completely with you.

Can people do what they want in their cars... sure. The only time, IMO, that someone could justify porn in their vehicle, though, is if they are at lover's lane and the windows are already foggy.
