I LOVE reading others trip reports, but, up to now have been a bit shy about posting my own. Guilt (about reading others and not contributing) has got the better of me and with just over 4 months to go - thought I would take the plunge.

Me (47)- Disney fanatic (but only when posting on DIS - others just don't seem to get it!). Recently bought 100 SSR points from an unexpected legacy and can't wait to try them out! Thinking about our holiday to WDW in October (with hopefully many more to come) keeps me going when I feel stressed at work (daily!!).
DH (51). Likes (but not loves) Disney. Would be happier going skiing but is prepared to humour me every 3 or 4 years in my obsession.
We celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in October and for various reasons, WDW seemed the perfect place to celebrate the occasion. I took the SSR tour when I was doing a solo trip in 2006 so DH has not seen the resort. He does appreciate the Disney attention to detail and I know he will love SSR (he loves the gym so this will be a big pull too - IF we get time to go there!).
We fly out on 5th October for 13 nights. Thanks to an Expedia sale in January we got BA flights for £318 each, all in - bargain!!
We are staying at SSR (via Magical Express from Orlando airport) for 7 nights initially. We have ADR's at Le Chefs de France, Yachtsman Steakhouse and for the final night, California Grill at 8pm, in time to watch Wishes. We are not big eaters so intend to wander round Epcot F&W, do counter service or take pot luck at restaurants in between.
After a week at SSR, on 12th October we transfer via cruise line coach to the Wonder for a 4 night cruise in a Cat 6 Verandah stateroom. We last did the same cruise (but with our kids in 2001) and are really looking forward to our adults only cruise when we can do what we want! The cruise docks at Nassau where we intend to stay on the ship to enjoy the quiet time - my rationale is that we paid alot of money to enjoy the cruise - why pay more to leave it???? However we loved Castaway Cay when we we cruised last time and have every intention of making the most of the island when we stop there.
The final night of our cruise is our actual 25th anniversary so hoping to book Palo's when the booking opens for repeat cruisers on 14th July. We loved having a verandah room last time - very special memories of sitting out looking at the vast expanse of ocean with a glass of wine - it just doesn't get better than this!
On 16th October, after we disembark the cruise, we head back to SSR for 2 more nights (via cruise line coach). We have nothing special planned as yet. I would love to do a Segway tour so may arrange this but we also may go to Sea World for a day - another favourite of ours!
On 18th October we finally head for home - hopefully full of fantastic memories - but already I will be planning my next trip to SSR with my Disney fanatic DD (for her first trip to SSR) in September 2009 - nothing like planning the next one to get over the post trip blues!
