25th Anniversary MagicBand

I would buy it, but probably only if it's still in the parks when I next make it to WDW in December. I have 2 DL trips coming up before these go on sale & I think my disposable income will be completely wiped out by then.

Nope, not me. Not for $33....I can take my free Magic band and use that money to buy a dole whip, or Tonga toast or some tequila in Mexico

OMG there's a special 25th band that makes sounds and lights at the touch points? I must have it!! Disney must just love guests like me who drool over the merchandise, lol.

Can't order til April?? I'll have long forgotten by then! I'll get the t-shirt on the 1st though. Also I don't see where it's one of the special light/sound magicbands, I guess we'll see.

I think I'll wait for them to put these on sale when no one buys them at the original selling price. I already have two Purple ones since I got the purple HM one and the custom Stitch in Purple.

I will make sure to look for them in the disney outlet next trip to Orlando lol

If it makes people happy to blng out their bands, go for it. Always nice to have options.

What's with all these people saying they won't buy it because they don't have a trip coming up. They're reusable, you know ...

Most Limited Edition MagicBands have special lights and/or sounds at the touch points. The DVC MBs are Limited Edition, so the speculation is they will have special lights/sound.

I certainly agree that $33 is pretty doggoned high but I AM really glad to see they are offering more DVC exclusive merchandise. I have never understood why a marketing whiz machine like Disney doesn't offer a LOT more stuff for members to buy. For instance, the DVC magnets they mailed out are SUPER popular but apparently there is no way to replace them if they are lost or stolen. Why not offer a cooler version to members for sale online? As long as the pricing isn't ridiculous I think members would definitely buy them.

As for the Magic Bands I confess to forking over extra bucks for the Olaf singing MB a couple of years or so back…. pretty cute. Love that Olaf….

This is crazy IMO. 25th Anniversary celebration should be more than just gouging DVC members. What would be more appropriate is that if you are staying on DVC this year that the 25th Anniversary MB is what they send you.

So, off topic, but get your Tonga toast at Capt. Cooks. We learned the hard way after paying $13 or $14 or whatever at Kona Cafe that they also sell it at Captains for like $5.99. d'Oh!

Yes I will be getting one, I have money to burn. :-) Seriously everyone buys things they could do without. I have a Christmas one, a Halloween one, all the colors and bling for them, might as well add this one.

I will say some of the comments though are borderline offensive. Why is the way someone else spends their money wrong. I am sure some of you drink. I personally don't. I would never say that is a waste of "your" money.

Cost them almost nothing (Compared to sending the regular MB) and making members feel special. What a great idea.
I am going to copy this over to the what perks would you like to see thread.

I am torn if I am getting one. I want a purple one and I will be buying the 12.99 one, I keep thinking for 32.99 this better do more than have a special light up and sound. Still its very nice so maybe
