25th Anniv, DxDp, Lots of Pics, PixieDust, New 11/7 The End

I love listening to Mulch, Sweat & Tears! I wasn't aware they had a female singer (it's been a couple of years since we last visited WDW). Am looking forward to seeing them again in 4 months!!

I love the boardwalk area (I'm sure I've said this before but I simply can't wait for my boys first trip the end of November!! My youngest two have never gone and my DS27 has gone only once back in 1997 when he was 15 so it will be a new experience for him too).

Loved your PS pics! Happy belated Anniversary!!

Great photopass pictures!! :thumbsup2

Also love the boat from DHS pictures - can't wait to do that this fall!!

:scared1: for your next update... neither of you could eat, huh?

I have not made that walk, but I would like to.

What beach towel did you get?

Sorry I am so far behind, but I am still catching up from the trip and camp. It's been a whirlwind month!
I got the huge (double the size) towel that has Mickey laying on the hammock. I have used it by the pool all summer:)

Another great update Doreen !!!
Thanks Rosie!!

Love the update, Doreen! You were able to get in a lot of rides on your DHS morning! Great picture of the hat with the balloons in front of it! I am such a sucker for Disney balloons! :goodvibes
I know. When I saw the balloons right there I had to get a pic.

I think they changed a few band members since we saw them last.
The Boardwalk area is beautiful!! We loved staying at BC:cloud9:

UUGGHHH!! I just did an update & then my computer went screwy & now it is gone!!! Oh well I will do one tonight. I am bringing Cody school shopping now so will be back later.

Well on Aug. 11th I said I would do another update & here it is a month later:eek: I have tried a few times & either my computer went screwy or photobucket was not cooperating so we will try this again....

We left off on Tuesday May 4th & I had gone to the pool & DH was in the room relaxing. We had an ADR for Teppan Edo at 6:00. We checked in & there were A LOT of people waiting but our pager went off almost immediately. I heard people comment "Wow that was quick". Yes with ADR's it usually is quick. Here is our chef. She was great.

25thAnniversaryDisneyTrip545.jpg

I had the chicken & DH had steak & shrimp I think. What I did not know was that they use little tiny seeds that she sprinkled on the food. Due to my Colitis I should not have any seeds sooo I tried picking all of it off. Well you can't so I had some of it but did not eat it all. I will know next time to tell them no seeds. I also had a Tokyo Sunset!! I did finish that:rolleyes1. My DH was enjoying the choc. covered strawberries while in the room relaxing so he was not even hungry for our meal:sad2:. They saw the 25th Anniv. buttons we were wearing & gave us dessert to go but we could not even it that. (It ended up in the garbage:scared1:) I figured it would spoil as we were not going back to the room anytime soon. I really enjoyed it there & I think my 2 DS's would enjoy it so we may go again next trip.

I am going to try & do this in small installments in case my computer decides to go crazy again..

Next update coming..

So after dinner we wanted to catch on of our favorites....

25thAnniversaryDisneyTrip551.jpg

Off Kilter. We love listening to them. I have a few of their CD's. Then we caught the British Invasion which I absolutely love!! Then we got a spot to watch my fav night time show Illuminations. Here are some random pics & Illuminations:

It was a great night. Any night watching Illuminations is a great night:)

Coming Up....

An "Unmemorable Morning":rolleyes1:sad2::sad2:

A better afternoon & evening

I found a few more pics that I took on Tues. night. After Illuminations I wanted to go back to the Beach Club & try one of the hot tubs at SAB. When I got there I found an empty hot tub

25thAnniversaryDisneyTrip593.jpg

Little did I know-they close at 10:00. That is why it was empty!! I enjoyed it for around 15 min. I took some other pool pics

Yay! You're back Doreen! Hope you've been enjoying the nice cooler weather we've had lately!

I remember you mentioning the seeds at Teppan Edo... I hope your unmemorable morning isn't related... :headache:

I can't wait to watch Illuminations in less than two weeks! Your pictures are great! :cool1:

Seems like we never take the time to just sit and listen to Off Kilter or British Invasion. We listen for a minute and move on. I know Wigd and Shocker really enjoy those concerts, so we need to make the effort to really sit and listen longer.

Loved the mini updates Doreen !! I love TE too and am going there next month on my Free Trip!!!!

Doreen! I'm so glad that you posted today! I had totally lost track of your trip report but am all caught up now...
Isn't Teena the best?
We always check in with her, even when we are staying over at the Boardwalk. Yes, she scolds us,:laughing:but it's just because we couldn't get anything at our beloved Beach Club...

Lovely pictures of Storm Along, did they ask you to leave that hot tub or did you just decide to get out?

Do give Teppan Edo another try, our last meal there was so delicious!

Anxious for the next update!

Hi Doreen-

Great to see you back! Enjoyed your update. Sorry you couldn't enjoy the meal at TE, but the show is a lot of the enjoyment anyway. I bet they would have cooked another meal for you, but you were too nice to ask!

SUPER photos of Illuminations! What was your vantage point? Looks like somewhere around UK.

Hope you get a chance to do another update before mid-October! ;)

Dee

PS- A little local/inside joke for you "How are things in R?" Fair!
Are you going? We have gone with the kids the last 4 or 5 years, but I don't know if we can fit it in this year! :scared1:

Glad you enjoyed your meal at Teppan Edo. Those Tokyo Sunsets are quite tasty! Lovely photos of Illuminations! I just love that show!

No the seeds are not related to my unmemorable morning. Wait till you hear what I did!! I had my doctor in stitches when I told him. Your trip is so close!!

You should take the time & listen but with little ones I am sure it is not so easy. I love both shows. :thumbsup2

I know your plans are looking great. Sounds like you will have an awesome time. Cannot wait to hear all about it & see if there are any marriage proposals:lmao:

I lost track of my TR also!!:rotfl2: We need a new computer but trying to hold off until the holiday sales. Sometimes it wants to cooperate & sometimes not. Teena is so great!! I cannot say enough about her. I feel honored to have met her.

No they did not ask me to leave the hot tub but I figured I better leave.

Yeah we will try Teppan Edo again now that I know about the seeds. I think my boys would love it. I am planning a trip for 5/22-5/29 next year. My oldest DS graduates college on 5/21 & we would leave the next day. I promised him Universal also so will have to split some time.

Yeah now that I know about the seeds I think my next meal will be better. I did enjoy the rice though & my Toyko Sunset:rolleyes1

For Illuminations we were right by the bridge to the IG. Where we were staying at BC that was a good place to be.

I will do another update before Oct.:lmao: I cannot wait to share with you all our crazy morning on Wed. (Poor DH)!!

Things here are always crazy with the Fair in town. The traffic is nuts!! My youngest DS is there right now. My DH & I have not gone in years. Very pricey for just walking around. I do not trust those ride operators!!

I'll second that!!!

::yes::

Glad you enjoyed your meal at Teppan Edo. Those Tokyo Sunsets are quite tasty! Lovely photos of Illuminations! I just love that show!

Yes those drinks are very good!! Illuminations is my favorite nighttime show. I have the CD & have listened to it many times!! I was listening to Dis radio yesterday while on the DIS & heard it a few times:)

Great trip report and Photos!! Thank you for sharing.
I just found your post today so I had lots to look at and read through!

I have a couple questions for you, if you don't mind.

We are going on December 26th til Jan. 1st and the reason for our trip was for our 25th anniversary as well. Except that our 25th was last year, but that's when we started to plan it. Now, our 26th just passed on Sept. 15 and we are wondering if we would still be able to get a anniversary badge or if you have to be celebrating the actual anniversary date while in Disney?

It is also my husbands birthday on Jan. 1st and that is the day we leave - but do you think he could get an birthday badge for the week?

We are newbies and this is our first time!!!

Also, we will have 2 of our adult children with us: 23 yr. DD and 18 yr DS and I know they'll be doing all the big rides but I'm such a wuss about that stuff but after watching you and your DH do tower of terror and fast track and
EE - I'm wondering if maybe I would be okay to ride some of these fast ones? lol I really am going to try to do do tower of terror but i just don't know about some of those rollercoasters!

ps. after Disney on jan. 1st hubby and I head out on a weeklong cruise without the kids. They'll stay in disney another day and then head back home on their own.

Anyway, have a great day and thanks for your help!!

Who knows when Doreen will be back....
I'll answer your questions though, I hope you don't mind Doreen!
I would ask for the birthday button when you get there. Many people celebrate all week, as for the anniversary button, when we went for our anniversary, we wore our buttons, we were wished happy anniversary by cast members where ever we went! There were no other perks though as far as we experienced to having the pins.
If you want the pin, just ask for it, I'm sure you can still get it.

When you book your ADRs and rooms you should be asked what you are celebrating, if you tell them your birthday or anniversary they will have the pins waiting.

As for TOT, I say ride it! It's a blast! I love the coasters too though...

Welcome Debbie. First off Congratulations on 25 (or now 26) years married!!:thumbsup2

Sure you can get the anniversary pins. When I made my ressies I told them we were celebrating our 25th & then when we checked in they saw it in the computer & gave us 2 sets of pins. They do not know when you got married so you can tell them 25 years no problem. If you have already made the ressie I would call them & tell them you are celebrating 25 years & a birthday & they will add it on to your ressie.

As far as rides go I can do any Disney coaster. RNRC goes upside down & very fast but I love it. It took me 3 years to go on Tower of Terror because the thought of dropping was scary to me but once I went on it was so much fun. EE is fun!! The worst part is going backwards (very fast) but that is even fun & only lasts a few seconds. The drop is not bad because you are turning at the same time so it is not a straight drop down. Everybody is different though. I am one that rode the Zipper at our local fair so I do like the thrill rides just not really high straight down roller coasters. The only rides I do not do is a lot of spinning (no tea cups for me).

There is nothing like your first trip. Everything is new & exciting. Where are you staying?? I am sure you will have a wonderful trip & cruise:love: Enjoy!!

Thanks for reading along.

Thanks Anita!! You're right. You never know how long it will be before I post again:) Looks like we were on at the same time.

I love all the coasters too. They are lots of fun!!

After I got the courage & rode ToT I thought "Why did I wait so long"??
