.

OK this seems to have changed with the introduction of the updated Disney Dining reservation page.

I have looked and I can't see anywhere to do this any more.
However, I can access all my ADRs by logging in to 'My Disney Vacation'.
I can retrieve my ADRs but not my accommodation reservation.
Have you tried logging in first (creating an account if you don't yet have one)?
I tried a new dummy booking (without logging in), and a window popped up suggested I log in or create an account in order to be able to view my reservations later. So this looks sort of encouraging.
Sorry haven't got a definitive answer - there's quite a detailed discussion about this on the DIBB which I haven't participated in, but just found.

Disney was having problems with their websites earlier. Maybe fixed now.

Is there by any chance an option to click that you booked through a group or convention? On the package reservation site that is how UK guests log in. It's due to the way that our tickets are configured.

Edit to add: I did try and go through the whole process but it doesn't ask me to associate my reservation. It's changed since I made mine in April, but it could just be that I am too close to departure.

Now I'm worried I wrote it down wrong as the phone line was quite bad :confused3

Don't worry. If it doesn't work they will still be able to find it for you - even if you have to go through the hassle of all your details. I hope you get your ressie> :goodvibes

You don't need to link your bookings, all your credit info will be on your room key :)

Correct, BUT

Im only on the QSDP so it doesn't matter to much if I cant get them 'linked' is it since I will be paying out of pocket for TS ?

I am also on the QSDP but I linked mine so that I could make my reservations at 180 days +10. It gives you a serious advantage for those hard to get restaurants as offsite or non reservation linked guests cannot access ressies more than 180 days out. So they have to do one per day, whereas if you link it you can nail the first 10 days in one sitting. I recommend doing this. Where are you planning to eat?

Okay guys, I have had a look at the site and I think I can see why it isn't coming up for you to link your reseravation.

Log into your account.,

Click on the dining tab, Make a Reservation.

Ignore the preferences for dates and venues for now, but to the right of that, click on the calendar. Today it shows up to March 3rd. Click on that.

A window pops up saying

We noticed that you requested a day more than 180 days in advance. Only resort guests have the benefit of reserving dining reservations that far in advance. If you have a resort reservation, please confirm it now.

Click on that. You can now enter your reservation number.

You won't be able to proceed with it though if you really want to make a reservation if you are still outwith 180 days, but say you were going to check in on March 3rd for the sake of an example. It would let you make ADRs for March 3rd to 13th inclusive. Then tomorrow you could make one for the 14th, etc etc.

As long as you know how it works you will be able to save some panic on the day.

Oooooh. I haven't researched many restaurants yet but I dont want to eat anywhere 'fancy fancy'. . That one's get booked up super quick ?
Sorta like Rainforest Cafe okay to wait that '10 days' ?

It's not really a case of fancy. To be frank, there aren't really THAT many 'fancy' restaurants, but there are some really popular ones like Ohana, Crystal Palace, Akershus, Le Cellier, Coral Reef ...... If you want a cerain day and especially if you want to eat lunch at lunch time, not 11 am or dinner at dinner time instead of 4 pm or 9 pm, then you need to be hot on that ADR page as soon as possible.

Rainforest Cafe is not on the Dining Plan so you have more flexibility with that one. There are two by the way - one in DTD and one in/outside the AK. Make sure you know which one you want and which one you have booked. ;)

Also, I should post a new thread but its to do with 'Linking'. . . When you give money to the CM when you check in, for putting money on your 'Key to the World Card' or whatever its called =P so its like a balance like 'pay as you go'. . . Since there will be the two of us, for example can we put like £500 on each card and use one for dining and one for purchases. .
So if we paid for a meal on Card 1 which was like £50, I would have £450 left on card 1.
If I bought a souvenier for £40, I would have £460 left on card 1.
Or is it, If you have two cards but can only have one 'balance' ?

You are talking about adding charging to your room key. You don't put money into the card. You give a credit card number as a guarantee and they will set a limit for spending. Yes, it works as you described and you can settle it at any time at the desk and use any means to pay it, not necessarily the card used to secure the charging feature. However it is not pre paid. It is more akin to running a tab at a bar where you charge to your card and pay later - any time up until check out. If you reach your limit before you leave you can go and pay it off and they will reset the limit for you again. HTH

Rachey, on the restaurant story, have a browse on here

http://allears.net/menu/menus.htm

To see what people are saying about the restaurants (you have to use a bit of your own best judgment as reviews are VERY subjective), try this:

http://land.allears.net/reviewpost/

Click on the restaurants or resorts you want to read reviews on.

Oooooooooh. So if I bought a teddy for £20, That gets charged to my room. . . And later that day I could go to the Resort and hand over that £20 ? (Obviously in dollers) but the card doesnt get charged say £200 for 'credit' keep sake ? Thats not the right phrase im looking for lol.

So you can't hand over a sum of money and thats your balance you can eat at ?

Correct, your card does not get charged.

Think of it as a store card. Disney world is the 'store'.

1
  1. You check in. They ask you if you want to be able to charge to your card, and say you decide you do and say yes. They need to know that you have the means to pay your bill when you leave
  2. They give you a credit limit. Let's say it is $1000 for example (you can request a set limit if you don't want too much)
  3. They ask for a credit card imprint. You give them your Barclaycard and they note the details.
  4. You now have a $1000 credit limit on your room. Nothing is charged to your Barclaycard.
  5. Now you and your DH are sharing a room so you are joint 'card holders'. You each have your own KTTW card, but they are both linked to the same account so you can use any of your two cards to make purchases out of the $1000 limit.
  6. You go out and see a giant Mickey on your first night at DTD and you charge it to your room. You now have $900 credit left. Your DH finds some souvenirs for his friends and spends $200. Now you have $700 credit left.
  7. Say you get back to the resort and decide that you want more credit. You go to the front desk and give them one (any one) of your KTTW cards and tell the CM that you want to pay off the $300 but you don't want to pay with your Barclaycard; you are using cash. No problem. You settle the £300 and you have $1000 credit again. And so you can continue.

You don't have to pay anything until you check out, unless you run out of credit and want to top it up by paying off all or some of what you owe. You can pay by any means. You never have to use the card you used as a guarantee. This is just security for the resort in case you duck without paying what you owe when you leave.

About the dining credits for your dining plan:

These are also on your KTTW card but you have already paid for them. This has nothing to do with your charging as the dining plan was paid in advance. It is like a sub account within your KTTW card. They are completely separate. There is no cash due for this as you paid it off with your package.

Now you have QSDP like me so your TS meals will be out of pocket. So these CAN be charged to your KTTW card if you want to.

There is so much info to take in on all this I do hope I haven't made you more confused. :goodvibes

For the Restaurant malark I will look another time (Nearly bedtime) . . . Thank yooooou =D.

And for the process at the desk, that is veryhelpful =). I shall now only take my millions down to reception :thumbsup2 after I have spent lots =).

Thank you very much for all your help tonight, greatly appeciated :goodvibes.

You are welcome. :goodvibes Sweet dreams.

Well done! Good to know there is a way, and as far as I know you're the only person to have figured it out! :worship:
Typical Disney again though - make 'improvements' to the site, and make something that isn't particularly easy to start with a whole lot more difficult :sad2:
