25 Points at BLT-Limited Time?

Just got an e-mail from my guide saying you can now add-on as little as 25 points at BLT. He said he "didn't know how long it would last". Not sure if it's just for owners at BLT. He didn't say. I sent him an e-mail asking for clarification but my gut tells me they wouldn't exclude non-owners.

no way... i just spoke to my guide this afternoon, and wanted to add 50, he told me minimum is still 100. He didn't mention anything about 25 minimum. All he said was he can find out from management to see if it was possible- and that if it is, there would be no discounted price.

What POSSIBLE motivation would I have for lying about this other than to completely ruin my reputation on this board????

I'm just passing on information. You can certainly ignore it if you choose.

I just got the e-mail at 7:53 EST. I get communications from my guide pretty quick. My bet is they just found out (literally).

Prbly, my guide did say that he received numerous phone calls today on small add on's.

This is literally exactly what he said (copied/pasted) so it's all I know for now.

Now that I have taken time to digest what he wrote, it SOUNDS like it may have been repealed completely. I thought it may be for a limited time when I read it quickly the first time and rushed to post it for everyone.

I was in Chicago over the weekend and made it a point to check out Doorway to Dreams. I was just thinking, if they allowed small add ons I would consider it because we are cruising in 2009 and 2010

I just hung up with my guide and here is the deal. Disney decided to offer people who bought into BLT at the beginning, before the 2010 points chart came out, the opportunity to add on at the 25 pt level since many based initial purchased on the 2009 chart, not expecting a change so quickly.

This is not available to everyone, or even to someone like me, who just added on last week.

And what date would that be- funny thing was, when i called this afternoon about 50pts, my guide kept going thru my paper work and saying the date that i closed. I wonder if he knew about this and that i didn't make that date, that's why he was telling me about it.

Bob if you happen to speak with your guide again and if you wouldn't mind can you ask if this may even be extended to members that'd like to add on but who don't own at BLT ? Thanks much for posting & we're happy to hear that BLT owners at least will be able to do 25 pt add-ons

So just for clarification, as far as we know so far, the 25 point add on would be for current BLT owners and no one else?

According to my guide, only the BLT owners who bought in at the beginning of the sales, BEFORE the 2010 point chart.

I bought last week into BLT and I am not eligible since the new points chart had already been released when I did the 100 pt add on. He said it is Disney's way of helping those people who are finding themselves short already.

And, he said, it is still a cash sale--no financing is being offered. I don't know if there is a discount off the $112/ppt cost since I wasn't eligible, I didn't ask.

I already e-mailed him back for clarification (see post above). I'll let you know but someone posted above that it was only for owners. As for me, I haven't heard personally yet.

I would imagine 25pts will be a pretty hot item on the resale market in the near future. Seeing as they would be so rare.
