Has anyone had any luck using the $25 Airtran coupon for baggage fees? Has it been successful either online or at the airport? Just curious, and keeping my fingers crossed.
I was able to use it for seat assignment. I had already purchased my tickets and I thought it would be worth a try to put a coupon towards seat assignments. I had purchased two tickets so I was eligible to use two coupons. It only took one of the coupons for seat assignments. I have one more coupon to use and was hoping that I could use it for luggage fees as well.
Are you able to use these at the counter when checking in for your luggage or does it have to be done online before you leave?? Just curious what recent travelers experience has been when presenting these to the agents?? Thanks
It was around mid July, I didn't have a printer, I wrote the code on a piece of paper. The agent tried to enter for me a few times, but encountered a problem, she walked away and when she came back, she asked whether the code was correct. I gave her another to try. She tried again and said it didn't work. I paid the $30 baggage fee.
Maybe my post will sum it all up. We brought all our paper print out $25 vouchers. After 20 minutes of Airtran trying to enter the codes and speaking with about 5 different people, the conclusion was what we were already told --- the voucher is only good for booking flights. They also said the $25 voucher has X number of characters, while a regular voucher at the departure terminals can only accept Y number of characters.
