24; Seriously Addicted!

In all of these years I had NEVER watched 24. I decided I would watch the first episode of this season and I was immediately hooked. Kiefer Sutherland was always a convincing actor even though "I hated him". (Lost Boys) Not really, I just envisioned him as a vampire forever. Well, I really liked Jack Bauer so decided I should watch Season 5. I did. I have now watched Seasons 2, 3, 4 and started watching Season 1. The problem??? I went to get the last two discs at Blockbuster and the LAST DISC IS OUT!! How could they do that to me? I know Nina is going to kill Terry but it doesn't seem evident yet. Just finished Disc 5. Anyone else hooked? (Besides the person who took disc 6?)

It is so strange that you wrote this! My dh watched one single episode and was hooked. He went to Blockbuster just like you to rent all the prior seasons and we watched them all. There was a problem with season 2. We couldnt find it to rent at any of the 4 Blockbusters in our area so we bought that season instead. What a great show. My dh loves Jack!

We are hooked here too!!! We ordered the first two disks of season 1 from Netflix. Baby, we cut through the first disk in one night! Now we are twiddling our thumbs waiting for the next disk. It should've come today... darn Netflix!

We don't have TV so we are always behind the trends. We had to rent it from Netflix after hearing about the show so often on Rush and Laura Ingraham.

You should really see Season 6! It is awesome. We got the DVR (like Tivo) from the cable company. Best thing I ever did. I tivo 24 and watch The Apprentice and then I don't have to watch the commercials through 24, I can just speed right through. Gotta love Jack!!

Other shows advertise plot twists all the time but 24 is a master of them. You can never really guess what is coming next. I read an article that said they don't usually plan the entire season before starting shooting so they have the freedom to change direction whenever they decide too.

Ever notice though that very little serious action happens until Jack arrives?? He just wouldn't be my choice of a great guy to be around.

I haven't missed an episode of 24 yet! I am truly addicted to this show! You never know what will happen next. This years season premiere was such a shocker, won't post any spoilers for those of you who haven't seen it yet, but the show gets better every year. The only other show that I was addicted to like this was Knots Landing, I only missed 2 episodes (to give birth!) in all of the 14 years that is was on television! This year I only watch 2 shows, 24 and House.

I heard Rush speaking a week or so ago of the show. They permitted him on set, during filming. But, they would only allow him to see a small snatch of each scene that in no way gave the plot away. According to Rush, even the actors do not know the future of the plot.

Being a person that is annoyed by 95% of television it is a big deal for me to say, " I love this show!"

I am completely addicted. I have been watching it regularly on TV since day one, have not missed an episode. I even watched one episode in the little ER room my son was in once.

I love it too - I was a latecomer to the series, and watched all the previous seasons on DVD in anticipation of Season 5! In fact, re-runs are what I find myself watching when there is nothing else on TV - like ..... right now! I love Jack Bauer... I have always like Kiefer.

I haven't missed a single show............EVER. Last year I gave birth to DS #2 @ 2pm, sent him to the nursery at 8:45pm, was watching 24 by 9pm. Just a little one hour break from baby to hang out with Kiefer for an hour!!
