24 hours and I'm sitting on the Boardwalk

In just 24 hours I'll be heading to the Boardwalk. I've been counting down since our last trip for New Year's and I just can't wait.

I bought my DVC in November of 2000 just after my husband passed away. I vowed not to let another year go by without enjoying the magic of Disney with my family. Well, that was all well and good when my kids were 11 & 15, now that they're 16 & 20, it's a little harder to get them to do the countdown with me. That's one of the main reasons I spend so much time on the Dis Boards. You all feel what I feel about Disney and it just warms my heart to read your stories.

Yesterday we were at my sister-in-law's getting our hair cuts and her brother asked what we were doing this weekend. I said "We're going to Disney World!!!" The boys both looked at me and said "This weekend?" Dah...

The whole drive home, "What are we doing Sunday when we get there? Where are we eating? What shows are we seeing? Did you book any tours? What time will we be there? Can we go to ESPN as soon as we get there? How late are the parks open? What rides will be closed? Is there anything new open yet?" They're finally just as psyched as I am and I couldn't be happier.

I know it will be hot but it's hot here too. I know it will be crowded but who cares, we'll be in Disney World....

I just want to thank you all for all the enjoyment I've gotten from your posts through this past year and I'll share my magic with you when we get back.

I'll be right behind you! We leave Saturday the 17th and come home on the 25th staying at the Boardwalk.

I know what you mean about the "older" kids. My DS is going to be 15 and family vacations without a "buddy" just aren't as much fun anymore. But since we purchased back in, oh I think late '99, DH has never been to the BW. So next week we begin a "family" vacation.

I'm sure everyone will have a great time; I mean hey.....we're in WDW!!!

Look at MY counter and you will see that I will be at SSR on Thursday.

This trip is sans DSs (24, 22) since both are working. But, let me tell you that traveling withOUT kids is a whole new experience for DH and me!!!!
