24 hour Disney party!!!!!!!! 6:00 am May 23 - 6:00 am May 24. Who went before? Who's going to this one? We went before and had a ball... Planning to go again!!!

And... You can wear costumes!!!!

we will be there, first time for a 24 hour event and will already have our pirate costumes from our fantasy cruise from the week before so why not. Not sure what happens but who cares its a Disney party.

That falls during the week we are there but will not be going. It sounds like fun but with 2 young kids, I think the crowds might be too much. We will be heading to Hollywood Studios that day.

There is a Star Wars Weekend Event the 23-25 so I'm not so sure DHS will be any less crowded since SWW takes place there. You may want to consider heading to Epcot or AK.

Not true. They will **** down rides throughout the night for maintenance. Some will be open all 24 hours, some won't. Some will close for a few hours and reopen. But it has nothing to do with EMH .

This may have cemented our plans for a May trip. This would be our first 24-hr party (as well as our first SWW). Our November trip was filled with a bunch of firsts, and looks like this one will be too!!

Oh man! It was like pulling teeth to talk my husband into this last year... Had to beg & plead that "it might be our only chance until kids are grown up!"
Still not pregnant a year later.... But I don't think the same argument will work this time around

I went to leap day.. I missed the monsters university one.. I will most likely be at this one! It was fun... I wonder if the group I ran into on leap day will be doing a scavenger hunt again.

DHS is going to be ridiculously crowded that day because of Star Wars Weekends. If you want to avoid crowds, I would recommend AK.

So bummed I am going to miss this, but already have non-refundable plans for memorial day weekend. Loved the 2012 Leap Day event. At 2am we met some college aged kids in a restaurant (shared a table with them) and they were astounded that two older gals has been going strong since 6am the previous day. They had just come in around 1am for the novelty of being at DL that later. We joked and said they were wusses.

Make sure you bring a fully charged phone and maybe one of those pre-charged rechargers. Saw lots of people hanging around the locker room plugged in and stuck there while their phones charged.

And grab a locker first thing in the morning! And your merchandise! Both will be gone later.

Looking forward to the 24 party and all the rare characters that will be out. Hopefully, they give us a chance to meet characters, and it's not just a dance party or they are on stage. It will be crazy crowded but the chance to see all the characters we never see is too much to pass up.

We'll be there, and that is one of our scheduled MK days. It WAS Josh's recommended park for the day, now, probably not. Wonder if we should go ahead and be at RD at 6AM, or change to a different park.......


ETA - I went to Josh's website and he said that the crowds will be very heavy from late day on the 23rd thru the wee hours of the 24th. Think I'll keep my plans..

Found out about it this morning and booked the hotel within a few hours!!
SUPER excited, especially at the opportunity of costumes!

Any word on when they'll announce if anything extra special is going on? Ie, extra characters and such??
