Should there be a 24/7 Dis Chat instead of just a Sunday night??

There are other DIS chats that are held at times other than Sunday evening - but most of them would be in the middle of the night for us in the UK!

The difficulty in having a 24/7 chat would be that there could be no moderating in place all the time. Now, you may wonder what difference that would make, LOL , but the DIS policy is to ensure that DIS chats are suitable and comfortable for all our members of whatever age. Moderators are present during times of advertised Chat sessions.

It depends what you mean by 24/7 chat Steve?

The chat rooms are available 24/7 for anyone who wishes to go in and have a chat - best if there is someone else there; makes chat a bit more interesting
I've quite often nipped into the chat rooms to have chat with a fellow DISer.
But as Hilary says, the chat rooms are only moderated during officially organised chat sessions. So you go into them at your own risk

It has been suggested that a Thursday night transatlantic chat session could be organised, (there was one once but it finished due to drindling numbers). I would be willing to co-host this if there are enough people interested

I understand what your saying about the chat being moderated, and im not sure how you get around that problem. Maybe a members only chat site. I mean a 24/7 chat as in a chat site like the sunday night chat site but it is available all the time, or possible a chat not connected to Dis Yahoo or something. i Just wanted to test the ground and see if there was a audience for it out there, but it looks like i was wrong anyway.lol.
