My DS7 will be getting a DSi. Santa brought him a DS when he was 5. He broke it fairly early on but it worked anyway. We bought the nerf case and it has been fine. A puppy got ahold of it and it just barely works! It is really hard to hold it right.

DD9 requested a DSi also as she wants the upgrade.

Both are getting one. DD says she "knows" she is getting it. DS says he can only ask for a DS because it isn't fair to Santa since he needs to prove he can take care of it better.

I need to find a way to convince DD she is not getting it.

my DD12 has been hinting that she wants a cell phone ever since her BFF got one last Christmas. so, DH and i bit the bullet and got her a kajeet phone. i think it's an LG Rumor. she has NO idea, i've told her each time she mentioned it that she didn't need a cell phone, and she'd get one when she did need one, lol.

My dd12 has been wanting us to get an HDTV for the house. I keep telling her it makes no sense. She's got a BIG surprise: Santa got one for the family!

My son really wants Smackdown Vs Raw 2010 for PS3. I keep telling him to ask his Nana for it...I don't believe in paying $60 for a video game that will be reduced in price right after I buy it (which is true). But my wife found a deal at WWE.com, and he's getting the game, and I believe a t-shirt as well.

My kids already got theirs, we gave them cell phones about 2 weeks ago.
Altho, we are planning our last trip to DLR with our APs so that will be a gift and a surprise for them as well.

A graduation trip to Disney. It's really a Christmas, Easter, graduation, Arbor Day, birthday, don't even look at me for at least a year trip.

I found a website that sells Disney DVD's, even ones that are in the vault. So I ordered Lion King. It is DS's favourite Disney movie and for some reason I didn't buy it when it came out on DVD. He is constantly mentioning it to me. I haven't received it yet but it has, apparently, been shipped, I really hope this works out. He has no idea. I told him that we are not doing "Santa" gifts this year, but I think Lion King will just mysteriously appear from Santa. I can't wait to see his face.

DD10 has been told that there will be no cell phone.....DH told her he wouldn't even have a conversation about it until next year. He's a big old softie and added her to our shareplan.....she's going to freak!! We're going to wrap it in a huge box and save it for last.....then call the phone right when she starts to unwrap it....should be priceless.

Even better is that the phone is free and I reconfigured our plan so that it's actually the same price per month with the 3rd line and all of the usage control features.

I also feel like a complete heel because I told DH that I was cancelling the phone because she was being bratty this morning...definitely not normal for her...and she forgot half of her school books at home. Then she calls me to tell me that she had LOST her book that had a report due on it today I was soooo mad...she's definitely not responsible enough for this phone....then I get a call from the school that she fell asleep in her lunch and has a fever of 102....poor baby's getting her phone.

My DD14 is getting a cell phone with a QWERTY keyboard. She has had her flip phone for a few years, she has been very responsible so, I think she's ready for an upgrade

My middle DS will turn 12 on the 19th. He's getting his first camera phone. He has no clue!

My kids are getting a Wii for Christmas. They have no idea. I can't wait!

We don't have kids but my DH is getting a few things he doesn't think he'll get either because they're too expensive or because he thinks I have no idea what they are because they're tools or they're for one of his motorcycles! He is gonna be shocked! Heehee!

D8 is getting a cellphone. She dances at least 6 hours a week, plus a 2 hour theater class, and has dance workshops that can last 8 hours. Plus, her schedule changes daily, and sometimes we forget to pick her up!

She's going to be so surprised! Dd13 is also getting a new ENV touch - she broke her phone last summer, and has been suffering through a horrible Razor (which just died on her). She doesn't think she's due for an upgrade until May, and has been sharing ds11's (she walks almost a mile to and from school, so I like her to have a phone).

DD15 already got them-- tickets to see Bruce Springsteen last month! We didn't tell her until 2 days before the concert- and only then because it was on a school night and she needed to make sure all homework was done.

I dont have kids either but my DH has been dying to go home and visit his family, so I bought him a plane ticket. He has no idea! I keep telling him maybe next year...I just have no idea on how I want to wrap it. I was thinking of buying him a bunch of underwear or something and hiding the ticket underneath it all. I cant wait until Christmas to see his face!

Our 16 year-old DD is getting tickets to see John Mayer at Madison Square Garden. She'll be soooooo excited. I can't wait to see her reaction!

I can't wait to Christmas, because my son (10) is going to flip

For over a year now he has been asking for a PS3, told him it doesn't make sense because he has a Wii and a PS2 that works just fine.
So he has been saving every last penny so he can buy it himself.
He is almost there, only about $100 short and my mom already told him she is giving him a $100 gift card for Christmas.
So my son keeps reminding me that the day after Christmas we are going to the store so he can buy his PS3

What he doesn't know is he will get it Christmas morning!!!! I can NOT wait to see his reaction. He is going to faint!!!!!

My 13 year old daughter is an "as seen on tv" junkie! If it's in an infomercial, she wants it. (Yes I know she's weird...but she's a great kid too!)

This year she is dying for the "perfect square brownie pan". So that's exactly what she is getting. She'll be thrilled!!! even if it is a piece of junk.

and it will make a great cover for the ipod touch that is her real gift but that she doesn't think there is any chance in heck she is getting. Can't wait till Christmas!
