Lots of protests going on about this, but I have a question that I haven't seen addressed on our local news (I live in NY)..

Is this vaccine also being mandated to "other" employees in healthcare settings? Such as office staff in doctors offices; dietary workers and housekeeping workers in the hospitals; staff in nursing homes; etc.?

I was wondering specifically about the food workers - since they're prepping, handling, and delivering food to the patients..

I believe that it's being mandated only for those with direct patient care. The virus seems to be spread through the air (droplets) to the respiratory tract. So, food service workers even though they touch food, trays, etc., wouldn't really be in the frontline to spread the disease. Also, in our hospital anyone with symptoms is not to report for work and will be sent home.

It has been mandated for all Article 28's too (that means predominantly health care centers). Whether it be a health clinic or planned parenthood (both Article 28's)

I work for a free standing health clinic that is an article 28. We are mandated by the state to get the immunizations.

That being said, I am the billing office manager. So I do not provide patient care. I am still mandated. All employees are mandated it reads something like: all employee who could potentially expose another employee that does have direct patient care.........

So, it's written that everyone has to get it. This includes volunteers, students, contractors, administrative staff, and it even reads "building and property maintenance workers".
