...

I thought I was getting a pink ribbon around my bouquet. I like Champagne too though:) Especially with green mickeys!

I didn't know you were going to do personalized mickey ears for everyone! How fun! Will you have to cut that though? It seems sad to cut any of that:sad1:

I thought so too...I will probably change that.

And no....no Mickey ears. With personalization they are $800!!!

Not usually. We definitely are sticking the minimums so I am really anxious for our regular BEO to see what we need to cut. We knew this would happen. I kinda though the aisle runner would be too expensive...I'll bring my own!! Eric thinks our best man's wife would put our runner and petals down for me

I thought you had said pink...I'm not going crazy!!:cool1:

I think it is a great idea to buy your aisle runner and petals yourself...definitely save some money:thumbsup2

And if you bring your own you can customize it with your names, date, quote, etc. One girl on here framed her monogrammed section of the aisle runner after the wedding. I thought that was an awesome idea!

Oh and for estimating petal coverage... FlyboyNaturals has a little guide to show the coverage per square foot to get a rough estimate. So if you just find out the length of the aisle in the Wedding Pavillion, that could help some.

The BEO confused me...I don't remember making mine ivory and yours champange...lol I'm getting old. Pink it is!!

I think so too...$260 for the aisle runner is just ridiculous...and how much will $400 worth of petals get us?? We cut some stuff and already got it down to $2900. Phew.

I was also thinking maybe of cutting it down to 2 columns at the alter not three..I really want 3 though, lol.

Cut it down to 2 columns if after you see everything you need to save a little more money. Keep it for now though...I like 3 too:goodvibes

I thought yours was going to be champagne like the photo of that bouquet. Isn't it funny how the estimates come back different. We had the same problem with our catering estimates for our wedding. Very weird.

The length of the aisle is 54 feet and about 90" wide...but if I only want the petals down the sides how do I price that?

I think they did Ivory to match my dress...wouldn't want to the ribbon to look dirty. I'm sure they put on the BEO what I asked for...it's just too much information and I forgot.

I like the 3 too :)

Math time!

90 inches wide = 7.5 feet
Say you want... a 5.5 foot wide runner, leaves a foot on either side of it.

So for each edge... it will be a rectangle of flowers of 54 feet x 1 foot (54 square feet). Times two because there are two edges.

So the magic-ish number is... 108 square feet!

Say you want two cups per square foot, you would need 216 cups of petals. Which is a lot of petals! :rotfl: I think my math is right. That website sells 240 cups for about $340.

Of course, considering how ugly the carpeting is, I would go for a wider runner, personally! :rotfl: If you only left 6 inches on either side of the runner, there would be 27 square feet per edge, so times two... 54 square feet total. Two cups of coverage there would be 108 cups of petals, which would run you about $200. :thumbsup2

Ok maybe it's just me but there is no way that the aisle at the WP is 7.5 feet wide!!
Plus I can't seem to find an aisle runner 90" wide...and those petals aren't any cheaper than Disney charges.

Ok that stressed me out...But thanks for doing the math. I suck at math!

I honestly thought 7.5 feet wide was too much too, but I found a post by Carrie that confirms it! And if Carrie says its true... :rotfl:

And you could always get your own fabric for really cheap. Find a cotton muslin fabric in all white. It is only like $1 per yard ( so 54 ft/3 ft = ~18 yards you would need). Cheaper if you use a coupon. This comes in all sorts of widths because a lot of dressmakers use it for their initial patterns. You can definitely find it in 90 inches wide. Then just finish the edge with a pretty pink ribbon, add your names to it... viola! Pretty runner. :)

Haha! We both went looking for Carrie's advice! :rotfl: Too funny!

I don't like the look of the 36 inch wide runner in the pavilion. It is undersized for how grand the location is!

Lol trust me, I believe Carrie!!

Ok so wider than 36"...that was still a lot for petals though! UGH.
