However, this is not - nor was it ever meant to be - a "What would you do" thread.. Look back to the beginning and you will see why I started this thread to begin with.. Just a silly situation illustrating how obnoxious and idiotic neighbors can be.. Having a little fun - suggesting a toss in the lake (with cememnt boots on); a little castor oil in a "treat"; etc.. :)

We know that C.Ann!
But, that all changed when the title of the thread was changed to "Update - ANGRY!!!!!"

I don't know what the plan is, but I hope it helps and does not make matters worse... When ever I hear such vague language and thinking about an apparantly 'secret' plans, who is in (involved) etc..... It all sounds so much like middle school girls!!! :rotfl2:

PS: still trying to figure out how automatically calling out 'Come in" when hearing a knock is 'defense mode".

Oh come on.. You certainly know by now that there are certain things that are better left "unsaid" on the DIS..;) That's not "middle school girls" activity - that's being "smart"..:thumbsup2

Yep, I can definitely understand.... if you give details, you will have about a dozen over-involved DISers (like ME!!!) analyzing and judging every detail!!! :rotfl2:

I hope your plans help to address this whole mess! :goodvibes

I have a feeling yoru problem will be solved when owner (aunt) comes to the cabin tonight and finds it flea infested. G will not be invited back.

Fleas, 'the word', kittens, screaming, firewood, phooey!!! God Bless dearie! She probably likes her brownies loaded.

First of all

Ok, now I keep imagining the daughter, granddaughter, friends, relatives, and the dogs sneaking around, hiding from "G", all knock on the door and whisper "it's me", to be let in. :lmao:

:grouphug:, C. Ann.

I'm hoping you're able to work out a long-term fix.

C. Ann--I know you are mostly venting (and doing a GREAT job of seeing the humor in your situation:thumbsup2) and are not specifically looking for advice. I also know I do NOT know all the details, and that even if I did I would not really, truly know how I would react in a certain situation. However, I want to tell you what I think I would do anyway--just becuase I feel it could really matter and because lots of perspective is a good thing (to me) when you are in the middle of anything (it is hard for me to see all the sides of an issue while I am deeply involved in it). So here goes:

It sounds like this woman has a substance abuse issue of some sort. It sounds like she is very good at hiding it from her husband and only partakes when she is "alone." When she is high, or drunk or whatever it is she is down right nasty and rude to you and everyone else who has the misfortune to be around her. As incredibly upseting as that would be, I would likely more or less mind my own business. I would not "enable" her or give in to any of her demands but I also would not say anything to her family. However, what WOULD push me over the edge is that this woman is partaking in whatever WHILE SHE HAS THE CARE OF HER CHILDREN. While I would totally suffer in silence for the sake of my friendship (you have lost so much already you really should not have to lose a friend too for any reason)--I could not sit by and know these children are being subjected to such behaviour (and also, it sounds like, neglect). The children (and pets) cannot really speak up for themselves and they need an advocate to tell their father and aunt (and any one who can maybe get mom to stop this and help them have a normal life) what is going on. So, for their sakes I probably would be willing to risk the friendship to say something. I would also probably approach it from this standpoint. I would not tell the friend how annoyed or angry I was with G. I would tell her how worried and concerned I was about G and the kids (and the dog). How much I want to see her get help and see the kids have a mom they can depend on to keep them safe and feeling loved. I would tell her G seems awfully good at hiding it so you are sure it must come as a shock to hear and you cannot blame her at all for having missed seeing it herself and that you ahte to be thr bringer of bad news. Maybe if several of you from the lake all tell the husband and aunt what you have observed they will be less likely to write it off as "C.Ann just has never liked G" and more likely to finally have to see what they have likely been ignoring for years. Especially if it is pointed out to them that the true victim in al of this is the children.

No matter what you decide in all of this I wish you the very best possible outcome:hug: You are in a really tough spot. Good luck.

Visine works better than exlax. Just a few drops and then....BATHROOM TIME!!! :yay:

Not that I know that for any particular reason. :rolleyes1

A common urban legend is that a few drops of Visine in an unsuspecting victim's drink will cause a harmless bout of diarrhea. This will not produce diarrhea, but oral administration of Visine can induce dangerous side effects related to Visine's ingredient tetrahydrozoline hydrochloride such as:

Dangerously low body temperature (hypothermia)
Blurred vision
Nausea and vomiting
Difficulty in breathing or even a complete halt in breathing
Elevating (hypertension) then dropping (hypotension) blood pressure
Possible coma
Seizures and tremors
Pfizer recommends that anyone ingesting Visine get medical attention or contact a poison control center immediately. [2]

Oh good Lord. :sad2:

I was not suggesting that she poison or kill the woman. I was trying to lighten this place up a little like she had requested. She wasn't asking for advice - she wanted to vent and have a little fun and has said so repeatedly.

Yes. There are side effects from Visine. There are also side effects from Exlax, chocolate chip cookies and breathing.

Now I remember why I lurk and don't post.

Sorry. I didn't think for a minute you were implying killing the woman. I knew you were kidding. No harm intended.

It was just a coincidence the visine was used as a weapon the book I'm reading, (Crooked House).

Joining the "WATCH"

Good Luck C.Ann...........that's all I can say
