:)

I think I would be on the way to emergency now. How can you be sure it is not going to get wrapped around his insides. I say go now.

Yes I would definately call the vet or take him to the emergency vet. I would be worried about that getting stuck inside somewhere.

Call your vet. My dog swallowed endless tube socks when he was younger. He usually vomited it back up or pooped it out a day or two later. Once it was a problem and we had to take him to the emergency vet.

It could cause an obstruction. You do need to call.

I thought you said banana. I was about to say that once my dog swallowed my pineapple upside down cake whole. , well, nine by thirteen cake in a couple of bites. lol

Bandana, yeah, call the vet.

eek. I would call the vet and have them take an xray to see where it is. My dog chewed up his blanket once and was pooping out pieces of it for for a week. But those were pieces. Good luck!

A full size bandana and only a 20 pound dog is the key factor. If it was our 80 pound freddy or even 55 pound Q it would be different situation. Q regularly steals tissues and eats them.

find out the window of danger from when a blockage is noticed. like not eating or drinking, not going to the bathroom (even when trying) or throwing up.

hoping for a speedy recovery,
Mikeeee

I called the emerg. vet and he said to see if he will throw it up by giving him 2tsp hydrogen peroxide 10 minutes apart three times....I've already done it once and nothing.....
wow never heard of HP used for that. But I am no expert, so.....

Yep, hydrogen peroxide is the way to get dogs to throw up. My sister's lab ate a whole plate of brownies and had to give the dog a cup of the stuff...did the job!

Granted he is a bit bigger, but our Golden ate a big athletic sock when he was younger. He started acting weird (drooling, lethargic) so we took him to the vet. They gave him about 24 hours to pass it or they said they'd have to surgically remove it.
Luckily we found it in the yard the next day...looked like it came up the same way it went down. :rolleyes1 Hopefully your little guy will give up the bandana sometime soon (and not on your bed!).

Keep us posted!

Whew! I was anxiously scanning the thread, hoping not to read about an emergency trip in the middle of the night, so glad your doggie is fine!
