We are coming in September with a four year old and a 22 month old and planning to eat at Ariel's Grotto. I see that children under 3 are free, but in talking to a CM at the dining reservations, she said the expectation is for that child to eat from the parent's plate or from snacks that we bring ourselves. My 22 month old usually can out-eat the four year old! For those of you that have eaten there, are the adult portions (at lunch and dinner) large enough to share with a child? Or should we just plan to order an additional child's entree? Also is breakfast truly "all you can eat" there?

I think you will be fine. For starters, they bring out a 3-tiered tray with jello cubes, string cheese, fruits and veggies, some meats and a salad. They even brought us more watermelon and cheese, since that was all DD would eat from it when we asked. I advise sharing some of your lunch (which was delicious) because otherwise, there isn't enough room to sample the desserts.
I personally would do lunch over breakfast....there is more to offer.

I've never been for breakfast, but there is LOTS of food if you're going for lunch. You would certainly be able to share, in my opinion, especially because the appetizer course is unlimited (some people don't realize you can ask for more).

Also, children under 3 are offered a choice of a FREE smaller-size-but-still-plenty portion of the regular kids meals. :thumbsup2

Enjoy your trip.

My son was 19 months when we ate there for lunch last Oct. He was offered a small sized kids meal at no charge, along with all the appetizers and dessert. It was more than enough food for him :thumbsup2

Thats great news about the all you can eat appitizers and free 'kids' meal, we are taking 2 under 3 and I was a bit concerned but we have 10 adults so thought it should be fine. Does anyone know if it is the same with Minnies Breakfast?

That's great! We're taking DD5 and DS2, the week before he turns 3. Great to know that he'll get free food!

Minnie's is buffet style, so they can take as much as they want!

When we were there for the last 2 weeks of July, the only time we had to pay for our grandson 2 1/2 to eat, was when we chose to order him an actual childs meal off the menu. He had his own plate and ate free at Goofy's and Storytellers, and he had cheesy noodles at Ariels at no charge :)

My then 2 year old DD out-ate her 5 year old sister at our lunch at Ariel's Grotto last year, so DD2 actually ate the larger child's meal while DD5 ate the small serving the waitress brought for DD2.

We just ate at AG (last Saturday) with a little girl who turned 3 that day. She was not charged for her meal and she was allowed to order from the kids menu, she received the same size meal as her brothers but we were not charged for her.
