Thanks! I have found as it gets closer, I can't think about anything else. :woohoo: Taking my DS for the first time and I personally haven't been on vaca in over 8 years so it's a long time coming!!! :yay::yay: Plus the weather where I live has been nothing short of cruddy this year so the warmth is very welcoming!!!! I'm sure yours will pass soon and then you will be on your way while I'm dreaming of trip #2! :cool2:

Still have 7 months and 3 days to go! I can't wait to call Saturday morning to change our DVC resort and then can't wait until they release December hours so I can start planning out our itinerary! The waiting is PAINFUL!:rotfl:

I don't know what it is, but every time it gets close to our date I become even more disney crazed
We will be there 10-14. It was a spur of the moment trip for us. DH booked it 6 days ago! So our trip won't be as long as they usually are, and we aren't planning on doing AK. Of all our visits to AK, last year was our favorite. We really enjoyed AK and normally we don't get overly excited about it. All year DH has talked about how he is looking forward to going back to AK this year, so I won't be surprised it he adds an extra day onto our trip. And I'm going to secretly pack extra clothes just in case :thumbsup2

That's great!:goodvibes Do you know if you can get good deals booking at the last moment vs way ahead of time?:confused3

In our experience, especially these last few years, we've found that booking closer (not necessarily 6 days prior ) is better for us. In 2008 we booked WL club level in July and in Nov the 4/3 deal was offered. The itinerary planning dept. for club level had booked all of our ADR's and other activities, but.... We were not able to apply the special to our existing ressie b/c there were no rooms available to apply it to. So we changed to Poly club level to get the deal. So when Disney says "rooms are limited" they mean it. Just b/c you have a ressie doesn't not guarentee you can apply a special offer to it. Also, by booking closer, you are pretty much going to be able to get whatever the current special is, maybe not at the resort you want, but you can find something. JMO

Ok at the expense of sounding completely dumb, huh? :confused3 what is the itinerary planning dept and what do they do? I am completely new to all of this so please don't take offense to me not understanding.:guilty:

Oh I am so glad to hear there are other people who are as crazy as we are. We only have 5 1/2 weeks left and since we booked the trip 3 months ago, our entire itinerary is done, we have had a rehersal packing, we have booked all restaurants, we ordered custom Disney shirts, and have asked every question we can think of on the Dis boards.

Now we've exhausted everything but it is so exciting to talk about it, so we keep trying to come up with questions to ask because we just like planning.

The only thing I am DREADING is the flight, I hate turbulance, flying freaks me out. I just keep thinking about arriving in Florida and arriving back in egas...turbulance is only bumps in the road etc etc....I wish I had magical powers and could blink myself to florida. :scared:

When you book a club level stay, there are certain perks you get that are not available to non club level guests. For instance, a deluxe resort with club level gets you a private lounge that only club level guests are allowed to use. The lounge offers snacks, light meals, continental breakfast and drinks throughout your stay. They also offer itinerary planning assistance to club level guests. What they do is book all of your advanced dining ressies and other activities for you. Also, when you check in at the gate of your resort, the guard calls ahead and tells the club level attendants that you have arrived, then a cm from club level is waiting for you as you pull up, to greet you personally and take your bags to your private club level floor, bypassing standard check in. Club level also has a private concierge desk to use that is just like the regular concierge desk but only for use by club level guests. Sometimes club level floors at the resort are only accessed by your key to the world card (its yellow instead of blue). All of this is included (and more) with a club level stay, but it's not free, b/c you pay much more to stay club level. There is a club level thread in the resorts section, but I can't locate it at the moment.

BTW, you are now down to only 21 more days :woohoo:
And I'm down to 12 :cool1:

LOVE IT! I just found this board 2 weeks ago and I'm addicted to it already! I haven't been to Disney in 8 years and my DS who will be 5 the week before we go, has never been! We have had such hard times the past 3 yrs so this is a dream vacation for me and I am obsessed, or at least I feel like I am at this point! I have planned everything to the best of my ability, made all our dining ressies, and now I am trolling this board for any and all info that I can find before we go! I booked our trip in February and it's flown by up until this point! I guess I should be happy it has slown down because I don't want the actual Disney part of it to go by too fast! Anyway, have a great trip!!!!:dance3::flower3::rolleyes::cheer2::cool1::goodvibes

I'm worried about the airline I booked on. I chose them because they participate w/Disney for the magical express and were cheap but now I've read some not so great reviews and am worried. 6 weeks after I paid for our flights, they cancelled them and I had to choose different ones. I had already made dining ressies and everything and had to change them as well since we are getting in later. We were going to have direct flights to and from but now we have to change planes in Atlanta which I am not looking forward to w/my 5 yr old who has never travelled. :scared1: That's the kind of "turbulance" that I am dreading! I'm sure all will be ok!:upsidedow
