Another vote for "call her". My father, brothers, and I all appreciated all the visitors and calls we got while Mom was in the hospice, we would have been sad to find out anyone had hessitated to call/stop by.

Glad you called also. Lost both parents to cancer and had hospice both times. I think people are afriad to call because they don't know what to say. I know I wouldn't. But being on the receiving end of that phone call means more than you know when you're going through such a bad time.
