Last night it was announced before Wishes that it was the 20th anniversary of WDW and MAW combining to make children's wishes come true! Thank you WDW and MAW!

Last night it was announced before Wishes that it was the 20th anniversary of WDW and MAW combining to make children's wishes come true! Thank you WDW and MAW!

Congrats to MAW!! Tho, MAW has been around for 25 yrs. If you check the national MAW website, www.wish.org, the main MAW office in Arizona has been around for 25 yrs. I thought WDW wish trips were granted back in 1980 or 1981, but I could be wrong. It may be that GKTW and MAW are celebrating 20 yrs. working together? I think last time I was on the GKTW website, GKTW opened in 1986- which would make it 20 yrs. for GKTW.

Our local Northern Illinois MAW office just celebrated 20 yrs. last yr, 2005. We were invited to a celebration at a high school in one of the suburbs of Chicago in Sept. 2005, celebrating all the kids that had wishes granted from 1985 til present day.

I just checked the GKTW website just now and this week (Mon March 6 to Fri March 10) is the 20th anniversary celebration week for GKTW.
The day that you went to MK( Mon March 6), GKTW had invited all the kids staying at GKTW this week to march in the MK- Share A Dream Come True pre-parade at 2:40 pm Mon. March 6. The grand marshall of the parade was Henri Landwirth- original founder of GKTW.
