I went to a sales meeting at the Boardwalk Villas in early July. I'm not clear about what hapens when the deed expires in 2042.

Will owners be offered a renewal rate? Can anybody shed some light on this for me?

Thanks

Nothing has been determined as to what will happen once the deeds expire. Speculation is that we would be offered extensions but there has never been any word from DVC.

I haven't looked at the documents, but I wonder if such an extension would require another closing???

depends upon the ecomony at the time - if WDW is having a wonderful year and things are looking up - I think they will take back the DVC resorts that are next to a WDW resort and start treating them like any WDW resort rental.

what will happen with OKW or SS - I don't know.

Of course this is my opinion and what WDW does - I don't even think they know at this point in time.

now if the ecomony is like it is right now - your guess is as good as mind - they might renew the DVC contracts they might not - I think it depends upon which way would be best for them.

Disney will made a profit - whatever they decide.

The DVC management who will be making this decision could very well be a WDW right now... playing in the water with their DB or DS on Donald's Boat at Mickey's Toontown. ;)

Someone once commented that the person or persons who will make those decisions are still in grade school.
