2026 MMB info Announced

A lot of talk in here I missed with back and forth here, but maybe I can get a quick summary: I have MMB and two use years. One is just resale, one is just direct. I did BOGO on my 26 use year for Direct (sept). Can I call back and do more BOGO on either 25 use year direct or either 25/26 use year on resale?

Since you actually purchased them in the calendar year of 2026, you have used your benefit up.

You can’t buy a second set with the BOGO pricing in the same benefit year, regardless of what UY the points went into.

If your direct membership has more than one owner, thst persona can buy MMB and would then be allowed to buy them at least for your Sept 2025 UY for use before Aug 31st.

Small or maybe actually big update.

After my tries(multiple) I tried again on Wednesday and was again denied the bogo points. Was told, "I understand you were told the other day that resale memberships can't get the MMB bogo points. Couldn't argue with that. Also during my initial attempts I managed to get the initial 12 points loaded into my membership but ended up getting refunded and the points removed, that left a note on my account that I had otup refunded, which might had lead to additional questions from the CM to the backend staff.

Now come today, I thought I would give it another try, this time using another of my resale only membership - and what you know, it was smooth sailing, all the way, I got the initial 12 points and after 10-15 minutes on hold I get my other 12 points and a dummy reservation.

So to others who are denied, dont give up and keep trying. However if you end ud getting a refund the ship might have sailed for the that membership.

Just curious as to the dates of the two different resale memberships. Could that have played some role?

None of my resale memberships are grandfathered in, and this one was from 2023.

I knew not grandfathered but wondered if it the successful one was older. But 2023 is pretty new.

Guess it really means it’s inconsistent. But it shouldn’t matter because you still only get one set and if they want to stop people in same household with more than one membership from getting it, make the benefit apply to a household and not a person.

Just wanted to add that:

The bogo points I got was from Kidani. Sometime last year I moved some points also from Kidani from one of my other memberships to this membership.

When moving or transferring the points that is, the points retains their home resort preference also in the new membership.

That made me wonder, if I could use the bogo points during the 11-7 months window. Well what do you know, I can. I managed to book a reservation at AKV in November using the bogo points and some of the leftover points from the transfer.

I certainly didn't expect that, but it's a nice option to have. This is only an option for the bogo points not the initial otup that the CM gives you at first.

Anyone else able to confirm this?

I just had a situation where I called in to purchase mmb and I had it last year. I bought the extra points for a reservation in February which is also the start of my use year. When I just called to purchase mmb to purchase one time points for a stay in August I was told I couldn’t purchase them because I already purchased for this use year. I thought the points were based on the magic beyond year.

You can only buy OTUPs once per UY regardless of the BOGO MMB deal. MMB is purchased for a calendar year, so think of the BOGO deal as a coupon you can use sometime during that calendar year. But, when you use that coupon, you are still limited to up to 24 OTUPs in any given UY.

In any given calendar year, there will be two UYs that all of us could use that coupon in.

Does that mean I can buy mmb for the calendar year and I get the bogo deal for both use years?

You can get the bogo points ONCE during the benefit year. Ie If you already got the regular OTUP for your 2025 UY you can’t get bogo points too in your 2025 UY. You would then need to buy it for your 2026 UY.

The only work around to do that is if there is more than one person on your membership. Then, another person can buy MMB and purchase the BOGO OTUP in a different UY than the ones that you purchased with your own MMB.

Hi everyone! I have a question regarding the MMB OTUP. Can I purchase the 24 points and make a one night reservation, then cancel the reservation and bank the points? Thank you!

You can cancel the reservation to have the points on your account to use later, but they are NOT bankable and must be used by the end of the use year

Thank you very much. That’s what I thought, but wanted to double check. Unfortunately our trip for this use year is already booked with borrowed points, so buying the OTUP wouldn’t help me. Even if I switched out the point, I can’t bank any of them.

I should not work that way and my OTU points over the years have never been eligible to book home resort.

That is why even transferred points didn’t work for most people online.

It seems to me something was changed when they decided to show transferred points on dashboards and this was an unintentional consequence.

But, it’s definitely not the way it should work or an official change to any rules.

It’s two different things. Easiest way for me is first to decide which UY I want the points.

Next is whether I have already bought OTU points for that UY…if it is yes, then I can’t get another set.

If it’s no, then I can. If I haven’t also bought my BOGO free points during the current calender year, I can get that price.

If I have, then I pay full price.

I see

And then how does it work with an additional owner on the same deed?? The second owner can buy otup too?
