2026 DVC Member Cruise

I just finished booking. 17 calls over 6 minutes to get put on hold and then another 1 hour and 5 minutes until I was done. The actual booking process only took about 15 min for one stateroom with two guests. And my first choice of cabin in category 5B was available.

My CM said she was dressed as Ursula today, wig and all! She said this is the only day they all work together and DVC brings in food (snacks, chocolate, lunch) for them.

We're doing early. We used to do late, but last time we did early and liked it.

6B and 2B now showing sold out.

Anybody thinking about the London escape before the cruise? Our CM said they would provide transportation to the port in Southampton.

ETA: just looked it up and not too interested, we've done tower of London and St. Paul's Cathedral before...

Just finished! Took us over 2 hours with a live agent to book 3 staterooms. Lots of back and forth on hold.

Initially connected to a cast member right at 10 am ET, but the CM was unable to eliminate the background hold music. She took my member number and asked me to hold, then I was cut off after about 5 minutes. It then took me 55 minutes to get into the phone queue, calling every 2 minutes and working through the phone tree only to get the message that all agents are busy, please call back later. Finally, after another hour waiting in the queue, I was finally connected to a cast member. It took about 15 minutes to complete a booking. All six of our preferred staterooms were already taken, but we were able to book a room in the same stateroom category and area of the ship. Finally, I called DCL to convert a cruise placeholder to a booking on the three-night cruise to Belgium that precedes the member cruise, securing the same stateroom for a back-to-back combination.

I wonder if anybody tried and just couldn't get through today. Still a lot of categories available, though, I wonder if it'll even sell out this weekend. The Mediterranean one last year seemed to go quicker but did not fully sell on the first weekend

So how do we get from London to Southampton? I can't say which airport yet until we start to look at airfare. I know the train system is great in U.K. Thinking to spend a night there before boarding.

Here is Disney info on various transfer options. You would book thru MS but options should still be the same.

Many folks will go on their own via a tour/xfer company that will stop some place along the way like Stonehenge or Salisbury, etc, and continue to arrive at the port in the mid-afternoon. Be aware that last embarkation time will be around 02:30-3:00. Some also will do something similar for the trip back if there are late afternoon or evening flights home.

There are plenty of private transfer providers for airport to London, airport to Southampton, and London to Southampton transfers. There are also train and bus options. Finally, on the sailing day, DCL will have airport to port bus transportation available and may also have London to port buses available, all at an additional per person fee. Costs for most of the bus or train options will depend on the number of people in your party. Private transfers may be priced per trip, so long as you select a vehicle consistent with the size of your travel party. When we did the westbound transatlantic cruise last October as a party of two, we used Twelve Transfers (https://www.twelvetransfers.co.uk/destinations/heathrow-airport-taxi-transfers/ ) from Heathrow to our London hotel where we stayed four nights pre-cruise. We then used them from London to Southampton for the cruise. The convenience of scheduling private transfers is worth the cost premium for us, since we’ve reached an age where wrangling our own luggage on trains and/or buses is no longer a good option.
