Kronk/Yzma line ‘closed’ right after my wife and I got in it. The CM told people it was closed for 10 minutes, even though the balloon ladies were only at the 5K mark. When asked, he said the long line was a ‘safety hazard’. It wasn’t. I felt bad for the lady dressed as Yzma who couldn’t get in line.

Galloway pacers have been updated for the Half Marathon:

Updated Galloway pacer chart for tomorrow's Wine & Dine Half Marathon. From the Galloway Pace team: Pacing update: Tomorrow for the half marathon, the dew point is anticipated to be the same as Springtime with a 3 degree F higher starting temperature. We believe this will not be a good day to push for a PR and that running hard could be dangerous. Therefore, the Galloway Pacers will be instituting our Hot Weather Protocol and will be running slower than previously announced. The new pacer chart is attached. Let’s PR in fun!

Great race! Heat or not, three weeks out from a marathon the only thing to do was full send it. Tried for a 1:37 and ended with a 1:42. Running 4/:30 intervals with this T and D I’ll take that all day. Hope everyone had a great time, looking forward to MW.

I also enjoyed the race today and @Dopey 2020 only beat me by 75 minutes! Highlights of the weekend were catching up with disers at the HH meetup and running into @Bree after both the 10K and the Half.

It was a hot nice day
I ended up running 14m.. somehow after a bathroom break I turned left instead of right and did the Starwars/toy story lands twice! ..

For the 1000th time- I overdo the parks, mile 2 I was so sleepy and tired, that truly felt tempted to jump in the bus.. some caffeine and sugar helped, pushed through… but i’m (re) writing note to myself… sleep and rest before HM is a good idea

Hope that everyone had a great time!

Decent race today. Really felt the fatigue from the two previous days. Ended up with 2:23 and am happy with that. Ran a 90/30 run/walk interval which worked well.

Have to mention my son was 23rd place in his age group with a 1:47. And he was 11th place in his age group for the 10k with a 48:37. Both new personal bests for him. I am very proud.

Also proud of my sister in law for showing up a finishing all three races.

And of course very happy for my wife completing another three race challenge.

And we just completed the breakfast skillet challenge at Whispering Canyon.

Great time! Lots of great people around and great race support/volunteers. The support is fantastic. Normally don’t run with ear buds but knew it was going to be a challenge today. Cranked out some songs to help distract myself in the heat. My POT was expiring and wanted to maintain my corral. Missed my goal by :15 per mile but kept the corral. Overall happy and thankful. Hope everyone else had a great race

Thought the on course entertainment was great, but I really did not like the course. It was sooo narrow for such a long time. Even 6-8 miles in it was crowded because they did the out and back to BB on one side of the street. The parks were super crowded and then the dreaded Hollywood Studios path. I was in D, but curious whether later corrals thought the same.

This is why it was better when W&D fell on the time change weekend, that extra hour of sleep on half marathon day was nice
