Well the good news is I do not have a stress fracture, but I do unfortunately have a hip labral tear! Doctor said I'm fine to run this weekend but it will probably be painful. I'm glad that I can't really do any more damage, at least. I tend to have pain after running the next day, so thinking I should definitely walk the 10k so I can run at least part of the half (if I feel okay). Don't want to run part of the 10k and then be unable to walk the half...I am walking fine now, but was limping the other day after only a two mile run.
Anyone have experience with this injury? My treatment plan is to try PT first to see if that resolves my pain, and I'll certainly hope it does rather than exploring surgery down the road.
