Edit: i just realized that the first number counts, so each tally should be updated by 1 (e.g. registrations 10001 to 10100 counts as 100 registrations). So it's 8130 challenges, 5600 10ks and 8165 halves.

How many shoes can one person have?
I mean… I had 2-3 pairs in rotation… then Disney mkting- brooks… got me up to 6 pairs…which I shouldn't run much into it (high heel drop) and thinking how am I going to convince myself it is enough… 😂😂😂

I really do not need another pair of shoes, either. But I really like the Ghost Max 2 pair that I have for walking (plus some shorter runs), soooo...
 
Well the good news is I do not have a stress fracture, but I do unfortunately have a hip labral tear! Doctor said I'm fine to run this weekend but it will probably be painful. I'm glad that I can't really do any more damage, at least. I tend to have pain after running the next day, so thinking I should definitely walk the 10k so I can run at least part of the half (if I feel okay). Don't want to run part of the 10k and then be unable to walk the half...I am walking fine now, but was limping the other day after only a two mile run.

Anyone have experience with this injury? My treatment plan is to try PT first to see if that resolves my pain, and I'll certainly hope it does rather than exploring surgery down the road.

I have had a hip labral tear for 3 years and run (Jeffing) on it. I went through PT and my orthopedist says if it doesn't change my gait, and the discomfort is tolerable, to go ahead and run. It started out much more painful than it is now. I had cortisone shots the first two years, but haven't had anything this year and it's better than ever. Sometimes there's no rhyme or reason as to when it hurts. The ironic thing is, it hurts the least while actually running. PT really helped. Good luck!

That’s my experience too, the running itself isn’t bad it’s the evening or next day! I really appreciate this, obvious the pain stinks but it’s relieving to know I’m not making things any worse by continuing to run. Glad to hear you are doing better. I’m hopeful PT will help me too. I know I have horrible form so I’m sure there’s a lot I can work on improving.
