I can confirm that in the past it hasn’t been an issue. I have sold mine before and they simply linked it to MDE without issue. This year I bought one and it seems to have linked just fine. Never been asked for ID when I’ve gone in the past. I don’t see any reason Disney would change things this year but of course they always have said non- transferable.

I bought a couple of tickets from others I just asked for a picture of the back of the ticket and then added the number into MDE.

Yup, this. PayPal, Venmo, Apple Cash, whatever the preference of the parties involved and send pics of ticket number to link to buyers MDE
I have met someone at the expo once as well.
