2021 Halloween Time Superthread *September 3-October 31* *Oogie Boogie Bash Returns on Select Nights*

Any thoughts on starting park reservation strategy (with parkhoppers) if we're not attending the party? We'll be there the weekend of the 17-19, arriving on the evening of the 17th (so starting park and virtual queues will be irrelevant that day) and leaving the parks around 7:00 on the 19th (just after the party starts at DCA) to fly home. I was figuring on starting one day at each park.

Obviously the "one park per day" folks have no incentive to go to DCA on a party day because they lose several park hours, so I'm wondering if it's better to do DL as the starting park on Saturday and DCA as the starting park on Sunday in the hopes that fewer people will start there.

Or do you think everyone with hoppers is likely to start in DCA on Sunday because they'll plan to hop over to DL when the party crowds arrive at 3?

Oooh this announcement is gonna make me book a trip -- I really want to attend Oogie Boogie! As far as we know, buying tickets is on the website right, not calling?

So excited to see this news today! We were already planning to go in October and I was afraid to hope for a Halloween party of some sort. I took my son when he was 5, back when it was a party at DL. This year he's 12 and it will be the entire family.

I'm not even going to get worked up about the price of 4 x $169, I read the description and got so excited I couldn't be at DLR and not go to the party (plenty of time to save $ for it).

Well I already had a short trip booked the beginning of October now im considering extending my trip so I can go to a party on Thursday night, work from my hotel early Friday then head to the parks early afternoon Friday. I'm beyond excited for this news!

Anyone know if Disney Visa cardmembers will receive a discount on tickets? In the past, I've been able to get a discount, but it doesn't mention anything about a discount on the website.

I'm guessing that will be a BIG no on that. I'm thinking DL is trying to make up as much money as they can now and they know each of these nights will sell out even without a discount. Hope so though, that would be great.....

I think your guess is a correct one.

Is it clear whether Web Slingers will be open during the party? And if it is, I assume it’ll be standby with no virtual queue during party hours?
MC posted today that WS will be open during the party without the virtual queue.

It won't be.

rise of the resistance wasn't open on specially ticketed evening events.

Something's broken for WOC. 😞 So I'm guessing they don't think it will be fixed by then.
MC posted today that WOC will not run during the party. Sigh. I hope they plan to put a band or a DJ or something fun in the viewing area.

Since I have a random stay at VGC for Oct. 5th, I'll go ahead and buy a ticket. I'm not sure if I'll make it to the parks before then. I was planning on going for Gay Days, but I may just wait to see what the membership offerings are going to be.

So the prices aren't that much higher than they were in 2019 which I honestly find really great, I was a little worried that it was a huge difference but no. I'm just really excited that we are getting the party, I really wish Ghost Galaxy was going to be a thing this year but it won't be. The fireworks though I'm super excited about though.

I was reading the fine print regarding OBB tickets and noticed it says "Tickets are non-refundable and may not be resold or transferred for commercial purpose." Emphasis on “for commercial purposes.”

Curious, for those who attended in 2019, could you transfer tickets at face value (not for profit)? We want to ensure we have party tickets but ... after everything that happened in 2020, I'm reluctant to get locked into anything more than 30 days out. And I'm sure tickets for our dates will sell out well before then. Thoughts?

I was planning on attending last year before everything shut down. Historically how packed is it on a Halloween night? That is the day I plan on going if i can get tickets on Tuesday

Halloween night is usually the busiest party of the season in my experience.

Do you recall if they had identical fixed prices for all party dates in 2019? Did they have the current variance in price point based on date?

Yes. It varied by date in 2019. The Sundays(the only weekend date available) and the closer you got to Halloween the more expensive it got. Also AP’s had discounts on days in September on the weekdays.
