2020/2021 Points

We are slowly putting together a trip. We had banked our 2020 points into 2021. So far, we have only used 2020 points for booking. Hoping to add a few more nights which will go into 2021 points. If I'm able to get a few more nights at the end, I plan to cancel a couple at the beginning. I believe if I do this, there's a way to replace any used 2021 points with the 2020 points. Am I correct? If so, what do I have to do? Thank you!

You can chat with member services about moving points, but you can also go back and modify the reservation yourself. I just did this after I banked points last week to get my banked points used for October reservation. Basically I walked through like I was going to modify the room, but picked the current location and rebooked it (even though it is definitely not still available.)

The only issue I’ve seen is that you can’t replace points booked at 11 months with points from one of your contracts that wouldn’t be able to book it now, if that makes sense. If it’s something that requires home resort priority, you’ll still need the home resort priority points.

Once you drop the nights and the banked points are back in your account, simply modify the nights you just booked and follow to the end without changing things.

Book again and it will take the banked points!
