Looking for opinions on the best time to visit Flower and Garden next year. I'm thinking about booking a 4-5 day (Sat-Wed probably) stay and was looking for opinions on Epcot crowds and best week to go, weather, special events, etc. I'm looking at going either one of the first two weeks (Early March, lower crowds I believe) or early/mid May (save a few DVC points at BCV). Also, I'm specifically wondering about the crowd level the first weekend of the festival. But any advice at all is appreciated!

I don't agree with the early part of March being lower crowds. The vast majority of college spring breaks are the first two weeks of March. Then later March you get into the pre-Easter crowd (I think Easter is April 1 in '18). If given a choice, I might try for mid-April, but its getting hard to find any "low crowds" these days.

Late April (at least a week after Easter) through first few weeks of May for the lighter crowds, avoiding various spring breaks/extended Easter vacations. I like Dapper days (4/29 MK and 4/30 EP), a small uptick but fun. After May 7 the cheerleading competitions end but it's getting warmer.

We went this year May 6 - 9 and it was great.
One night EPCOT was extra magic hours for resort guests so we left early that day.
We also avoided the park on the weekend and went to MK instead.

We were there the week of March 6 this year as well and it was good. We didn't think it was crowded, first trip ever to WDW without any rain. It was warmish, I wore capris and tshirts during the day and threw a sweater on at night. I think we were there Sunday afternoon through Saturday morning and were at Epcot every afternoon/evening.

We usually go the first or second week of May and love it. We've done it for several years now and the crowds are manageable and the weather is usually nice. Our other time is the end of September/first week of October.

We were there May 7-12 this year and crowds were totally manageable (aside from the evening of May 11 at MK, but that was a unique situation). Weather was hotter than average (over 90 every day, with one day reaching 95), but no humidity or rain, so it really didn't feel that bad. I'd go that time of year again if our schedule allows at some point in the future.
