2017 Holidays at Disney World: What's New & What's Returning

Where did you see this?
I saw it originally last Friday morning on another WDW fan sites Facebook page. Sure enough, when I went into DHS yesterday morning they were passing out wrist bands for the evening event.

Frozen holiday wish began tonight
I saw the castle all lighted up tonight. Missed the Frozen show, but that castle with the icicle lights is beautiful. First time I’ve ever seen it that way

I know this thread is for the 2017 Holidays but earlier today DH just gave me the okay to book next December for a split stay (2 nights at the Poly before Christmas to attend the last party and 6 nights at CSR over New Year). We will spend Christmas in Ft Lauderdale with my parents.

Now I want to book my hotel rooms but I have no clue what to do for our stay before Christmas. If you had to take a guess on when will be the last party in 2018, when would it be? Is it always Dec 22nd? I do understand that it's only a guess and that we won't know for sure before the dates are officially announced.

THANKS!

Is it always Dec 22nd?
No. For 2018, December 22nd is a Saturday - MVMCPs aren’t held on Saturday. The last Party may be the 21st or 22nd.

You could book a lengthy Poly stay and adjust as soon as you know the last party date.

Does anyone know if the red velvet waffle at Sleepy Hollow is only available at MVMCP? It looks so good and DH loves anything red velvet - but we have decided not to go to MVMCP this year

Hi!! The castle with the icicles light from Frozen Holiday Wish remains until early January? Thanks!:tinker:

What was the end prize? I'm trying to get an idea of whether or not it's worth it to purchase two books. If it's something like an ornament as the prize we can do just one, but if it's a pin we'll have to do two as my son and I both collect them.
It was a character easter egg for the one at easter. It's a remy keychain for the one at food and wine.

This is what I’ve been looking for! Though judging from the descriptions it doesn’t look like many of these will be snack credits like F&W.

There's a little notation on the right hand side of the website that says 'Dining plans not accepted,' so it looks like snack credits are a no-go.

Yule log is happening for me!
Me too! That's the first thing that jumped out at me!

Anyone cancelling a Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party for 12/30 by any chance?

Mini report: Full day at DHS yesterday for the first day of their holiday offerings
Frozen Sing Along: enjoyed it very much, was only expecting one new song at the end but was treated with 3 new songs and the entire show is slightly different in places. A
Sunset Greetings: first projection started at 6:15pm, each segment is only a couple of minutes long, they ran every segment every 3 to 4 minutes so I got to watch all 4 (Mickey/Minnie, Toy Story, Muppets and Olaf) in a matter of 20 minutes. In between they have the snoap machines with hooliday music. Cute for what it is, a filler on your way to the attractions or Fantasmic or while eating a snack. B-
Echo Lake: looks gorgeous at night, the tree is spectacular and the ornaments on the water add a cool vibe, nice place for pictures. A
Santa at Sunset: His set up is so beautiful and they have elf helpers that give out candy canes at the end/ He meets from 10am until park closing. A+
Jingle Bell Jingle BAM: full disclosure I enjoyed last years show, not amazing but liked it a lot. This year it improved a lot. Not so much lag, more fireworks and special effects. Love the laser in combination with the snoap. A
They did leave the projection on the Chinese theater for about 15 minutes after the show ended

One thing that caught my ear, the snoap machines are louder this year, I especially noticed when I was leaving DHS, the ones on Hollywood Blvd are really, really loud, it kinda takes away from the holiday atmosphere
