Phew! That was stressful! It logged me out of everything last minute and couldn't get the link to work. I'm sure the people at my office are concerned about my yelling at my computer. Haha! All is well and got registered for the challenge!

Got myself in for GSC, then got almost to the payment page for my nephew but got kicked out. Now GSC and 10K are on hold. Refreshing for his GSC!

I like it too! I am so excited. Congrats to all that got in! I did the Star Wars 10k with DH with the deal of the Princess with me. I got us signed up for the challenge. My first half marathon will be in October at the Urban Bourbon run in Louisville, KY. I started training last week, although I never quit running after the SW10k.

So frustrated. I was on the DVC page at 11:45 but no link showed up at noon in spite of constant refreshing. Shut the whole computer down and restarted. Went back to same page and link showed. Got back in by 12:08 but GSC already on hold. Debated if I should sign up for the half or wait it out but decided to sign up for the half now as I may not have time to deal with this again on the 12th. If I do maybe I'll just sign up for the 10K separately.

I'm so frustrated. I'm not sure why the link didn't show or what I could have done to be more prepared. I seem to always have difficulty getting into the sites on registration day.

What can you guys tell me about the merchandise you can purchase with the registration? (Or point me elsewhere if this has been covered!) Are they all things available at the expo? Should I go ahead and order them now? Any idea what the jackets are like (or have been like in the past)? Thanks!

That sucks!! I'm so sorry that happened. Just so you know - and maybe you do - if you sign up for the races separately, you won't get the challenge items (GSC bib, shirt and medal). I guess you could look for those later on via eBay or something...

I've never done the pre-order merchandise, but here's what I CAN tell you:

1. If you don't like it, you should be able to return it. You wouldn't get the Active.com fees back, though.
2. You should be able to apply an annual pass discount (I assume it works for DVC as well?). It's sort of a process though - you pre-order the item(s), pick them/it up at the expo, and then right there you return the items - the time I did this I had to go wait in a second line to do this. Then you re-purchase with discount applied. Again, you lose the Active.com fees.

Refreshed like a madwoman until the GSC came off hold, and got my nephew in! Successfully registered three 5Ks and three GSCs this morning between four of us. Still working on a 10K.

My first challenge! Can't wait!

I wondered that too. I didn't want to commit to buy anything today. I know at SW they had most of the merchandise there that you could purchase and it seemed like they had plenty. Is this the same for the Princess?

The merch listed are items that you can pre-order so that it's ready for you when you pick up your race packet. There's pins, jackets, and sometimes ear hats or headbands.

These items are produced in limited number and sometimes are offered at the Expo, but typically will sell out before the expo or be gone from the expo in like an hour after it opens. (Not exaggerating. Last year apparently it was like "Black Friday" on Princess Merch and people were fighting over stuff... according to other posters on here.)

So basically -- you can preorder these items and pick them up later. If you don't like it, you can return it. If you're an AP/DVC, you can return it and rebuy with your discount. But you're paying for the 5% active fees on all purchases.



As I don't know when I'll be arriving in February, I opted to purchase the Jacket and Pin Bundle early. This way I get my coat and pin bundle without worrying/stressing out about getting the merch I need.
