2016 Reservations???

I know. I still can't wrap my mind around $600 for one night at a hotel. And I've even drunk the disney kool-aid.

I know.....the rates are getting crazy!

I don't believe you can book for all of 2016 yet. The packages have been released but I think you can only book 499 days in advance still.

This is correct. Booking is only available through Nov 1 (499 days out). If you go past Nov 1, it gives the message that the resort is unavailable.

I had booked out our potential stay for next year at this years rates and then double checked it today at next years. Now granted I'm looking at a choice of several hotels but overall there didn't seem to be that much of an increase for us.

I had all of our possible hotels stay play dine rates written down for this past feb. But I never looked at rack package rates. It is a little unnerving the difference there! I want to book before our 180, but am nervous to book with my hopes set on it , just to find in Oct that the discount won't apply for some crazy new reason! So, I think we will book the best bresort we can afford at rack & change if/when the discounts come along.

Grin - every year that this happens? I am SO glad that Sandy and I bought into DVC . My break even date just keeps getting closer and closer .

I'm pretty sure I read that DVC doesn't release rooms to WDW until 7 months out.

If anyone wants to do some season comparisons, after a lot (!) of researching and typing, I've just added the full 2016 price structure for all room categories at both Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter to the Room Rates page on my website - www.portorleans.org/roomrates.php#2016.

I still have no idea why French Quarter's Garden View rooms are currently showing as cheaper than Standard View rooms for most dates. It could be an error within Disney's pricing systems which will be rectified at some point, or it could be the intended rate. Whichever, it's currently a bit of a bargain!

Poly rooms went up just $7 a night during the week for the time frame we are THINKING about going.

Interesting since Pop went up $15-$25/night for the time frame we are thinking of going.

Just looked at the prices Andre posted on his website. Looks like fall had a bigger increase than summer. Columbus Day is actually more expensive than summer.

I'm sorry, I was wrong. The correct amount they went up at the Poly was around $25. My bad. 5%, ughhhhh.
