What airport would I need to fly in for Disney to take me to port?
Oh, I'm sorry. I misread her post!! You're correct. Thanks for catching that!DCL only offers transfers from IAH/George Bush Intercontinental.
Which makes ZERO sense since the IAH transfers have to drive right by the HOU airport which is way closer. I'd bet by fall 2016 the international terminal at HOU will be complete, too. Major palm to the forehead. LOL!Oh, I'm sorry. I misread her post!! You're correct. Thanks for catching that!
With that being said- there are two Houston airport to fly into (IAH and HOU) with DCL only offering transfers from IAH.

I have a theory that since SW is the dominant carrier at HOU, and Disney does not sell airfare add on via SW, that they don't support transfer to/from HOU airport??? You can still get shuttle service from HOU, just not from Disney...Which makes ZERO sense since the IAH transfers have to drive right by the HOU airport which is way closer. This isn't exactly what you asked, but we are booked on the Dec 18 sailing out of Galveston this year (2015). It is a 6 night cruise stopping at Key West and Castaway Cay. We are in an inside room. I paid $2440 for myself and my son (even though he is 10, since it's just the two of us, I don't get a discount on his fare). I believe that was an opening day price (or close to it). I booked on May 22, 2014. Anyway, I thought the price info might be helpful for comparison.
I didn't book that one, but did book the Nov. 10, 4 night. The cruise leaves Thursday-Monday. I work in education and although I live in Houston, I've never sailed out of Galveston. The holiday cruises have always been out of my budget. This cruise was $2763 for 2A2K (12,16) for an 11B. That's definitely more than any other 4 nighter out of Galveston, but much better than holiday prices. I'm excited. We've been to Cozumel so many times, that we don't plan on getting off the boat. I know it's only a 4 nighter but I'm excited to finally get to sail from my back yard.
