2016 or 2017

We haven't been to disney since 2013 and we are planning our next trip....not actually doing the planning...just deciding when to go so we can start saving

Thought I remember some news about major renovations, but can't remember if they were real updates or rumors. (renovations like another screen at Soarin' and another track at Toy Story Mania)

So disboards, will anything major be going on down at WDW in the fall of 2016?

If you're interested in seeing the new Avatar area at Animal Kingdom, that's current estimated opening time is early 2017. It's one of the reasons we've said 2018 for our extended family trip, to see it all in action when it's open and been running a while!

I knew I came to the right place.

Don't love when they say late 2016 for opening, because that could be early 2017 before you know it.....

Guess we can wait one more year and plan for Fall 2017...it is going to be VERY hard though.

If I had to choose (as opposed to doing both), I'd wait! Hopefully, if you go in fall of 2017, pandora and the river of light will be complete along with the expanded capacity on Soarin and TSMM and the new frozen ride will be up and running.
