The official policy is if the pass was used on a date the upgraded pass was used then it can not be upgraded. I know guest services can sometimes make an exception, but they were pretty strict on it last year.

They slacked off around Columbus Day weekend last year
Was with friends that were able to upgrade
I wasn't aware that it was that common

I only go for a part of Hhn, not the entire season that some locals do

So do you recommend we buy HHN tickets in advance or is it safe to wait and buy them there?

What dates will you be there for Hhn?

I don't see many sell outs for most of the Hhn dates but there have been a few in the past

Have been to some Saturday's when it sold out and one Sunday

Oh we are going the first week it's open.

I have never seen opening night sell out

Once the media leaves the front section of the park will not be crowded
