What does everyone think about those December dates? How reliable do you think they are? We were hoping to go the last week in October (possibly 10/25 - 11/1) but we have a big group so FD is really important for us. We need to have a back-up plan, and I really hadn't considered December at all

The December start date falls right at the end of what is traditionally Pop Warner week so they should be pretty close. Perhaps starting on December 12 instead of the 10th. They seem pretty consistent what was offered last year.

Rumored dates are 4/25 for Disney Visa, and 4/28 general public.

I'm glad you posted this. I'm also eligible for the military discounts. I've been following this thread thinking "I MUST be missing something" because it didn't seem like FD would be a good deal to me but everybody else is SOOOO excited! I need to learn to just trust the math that says mil room discount + mil salute tickets + OOP dining is cheaper than FD. But I won't stop watching this thread because you all have me soooooooo excited for all of you!

How do you go about finding information on military discounts and how do you book the discounts and tickets (directly through WDW or some other means?). Is the mil room discount at Shades of Green? Thanks

I think Dad's Guide was the only place to give actual dates he thinks they will be released. Everything else I've seen is just guesses on what dates will be included.

The rumor we are currently chasing has a street date that is different from what "Dad" said.

There are several places. Your base ITT will be able to give you information on the tickets and can sell them to you in advance so you can line up Fastpass+. I like http://www.militarydisneytips.com/ for all things Disney/military and they have a good page here about the Military Salute discounts: http://www.militarydisneytips.com/Disney-Armed-Forces-Salute.html. There are a few other sites with good info. I think there even used to be a military forum here on the DISboards but I don't see it anymore You can book directly through Disney for the rooms (I'm fairly certain you have to call, I can't figure out how to get the mil discount online) and you can either get the tickets through Disney or, like I said, through ITT.

I don't think SoG has discounts (though they have package deals) but they are cheap compared to the other resorts. I was referring to the Military Salute room discounts at the normal Disney resorts.

According to what was said last night, there is not a different start/release date for Disney Visa holders as of yet anyway.

I vote for Pop. I would say AoA but the standard rooms at AoA usually aren't included.
