I am:

Happy that I can check in on any of the dates offered in December....

Sad that I can ONLY go in December...

According to the poll I put at the top of this thread, it seems like the least amount of people want December and August...but that is according to my little poll lol

Waiting for FD is like being in a bad relationship. It keeps you up at night, makes you irrationally nervous, and causes you to sit on edge waiting for it to give you what you need. It gives you the hope of a happy ending, but the rumour mill is always buzzing, and making you question your relationship. FD may or may not show up when it is expected, and it may deliver more or less than you hoped. However, inspite of what it does to your sanity, FD keeps you at it's beck and call.
Don't think anyone will be able to come up with a better analogy lmao amen!

:cool1:. So true!! Great analogy!:happytv:

We are already booked with a TA because our dates are not flexible. When FD goes live at the crack of dawn, she will not be in the office yet. How do I safely make a second reservation if necessary? Our current reservation is under my husband's name only because his name is on the credit card, however, it is my name on our disney account. TIA!

Great question, I sure would like to know too!

PS this is so off topic and I HATE when we get off topic here but my PP says I can only go in December. This is due to having a child now in college. It all changes, my friends, when they go to college. Don't be afraid to take them out of school when they're little!
We usually pull our kids out of school and take them to Disney. We always tell them as long as you are doing well in school we can do this! I know it will get harder as they get older!

Our kids are 14 and 17 and we pull them out for a week every year. It does get a little more challenging as they get older, but like you, as long as they are doing well it shouldn't be a problem.

We pull our 3 girls out of school to go! The oldest 2 will be leaving for college soon so we are taking as many family trips as possible before then.

My girls are 12, 16 and 17 and they will miss 5 days this September for our trip. At that time they will only be in school for 3 weeks and we plan on letting all the teachers and principals know when school starts. We will also make sure they get their work before we go and makeup whatever afterwards. It is more difficult now that they are in middle school and high school but we don't see it being too much of a problem.

When Free Dining does drop, at what time are you able to start booking?

I know the phone lines open at 7 am. Is it available to book online earlier? Is there any hope of booking it online?

Thanks.

You can book a whole new reservation under the free dining promo online once it drops. Once that's done, your TA can cancel your original reservation and then you can transfer your new reservation over to her.

You can book as soon as it pops up online. Yes, you can do it online..no need to wait to call.

Really interesting on the website this afternoon. I've been plugging in my dates and availability at the various moderates have been changing as what's available and what's sold out continuously.

We also have relatives that are thinking of going now. They want me to make their reservation also. The availability changed in the time it took to price for us and switch to pricing for them?

I am right along with everyone, anxious and excited, and hoping and praying. I haven't been to see the mouse in so long! The wait for FD is killing me. lol

If you already have ADR's (including the tough to get BOG) under the first reservation, can those be transferred to new reservation, or are those lost?

So, the fact that we will have two reservations under the same name won't be a problem? Of course I just don't want to lose our initial reservation until I speak with the TA and know everything is good to go with the new reservation.

Your ADRs won't be effected at all. They'll stay exactly the same :) They're not connected to your resort reservations at all (aside from the 180+10).

Nope, you shouldn't have any problems. I had a package booked last year and once FD came out, I booked a new one online. I then canceled my original one a little while after. They were both under my name.
