I'm so confused this morning! We are going to add an extra night to the front end of our trip so we check in within the period of free dining. We drive so we can drive through the night and get to the resort on the morning of check in. Will they be able to turn on our park tickets and dining credits before 3:00 pm check in or do we only get hem once we get into our room? We have always done a room only our first day and gone to downtown Disney and no parks. I want to make sure we use those bad boys if we are adding an extra day just to get the free dining.

Yes they will. We did the same thing in 2013 and we went to mk for the day after dropping by the resort to get our cards. They called my cell when our room was ready.

Does anyone know what it costs to upgrade to the regular dining plan from qs per person just trying to nail down the best offer. :confused3:confused3:confused3
If you go onto the Disney site and check offers, set up an offer with QS, note cost, then check for DDP. The upgrade is just the difference between the two. I will add that when did this it turns out that the difference between an upgraded value and a moderate is something around $100 for 6d/5n 3adult 1 child, so we ended up just rebooking at CBR when rooms were added to the promotion (mid May I think)

This is my families first visit with potential free dining...actually first visit in over 15 years and first ever for my 5 y/o son. If I book one hotel from the 31st to the 4th and then another from the 4th to the 13th and link the two...will that be considered one stay and fall under the requirements for free dining (I was already planning on the park hopper tickets)? Were planing on staying at CBR and then AoA suites due to more family coming down.

Unfortunately, no, you would not get free dining on both even if they are linked. You need tickets on both places to qualify for FD. Do the math. It could still work. Buy tickets on the front end to cover this trip. Buy the minimum required on the second part and SAVE those tickets for a future trip. You have to make sure these tickets are not on your MDE and not used. Hmmm, seems like I remember something about these SAVED tickets now having an expiration, but I'm not sure. That would be a question for another thread.

We drive too and on my last FD trip I checked in at 7am at the resort. Got our bands (Canadian so they don't send them) and we had all our credits and tickets ready to go.
No problems at all.

Hopefully a quick question-what was the FD offer from last fall? I have read comments indicating that it varied from value to moderate to deluxe etc. We are currently planning to stay at a value resort-All Star Sports.
Value Resorts last year got the Quick Service Plan (2 quick service meals and 1 snack per day) + refillable Resort mug
Moderate and Deluxe DDP (1 Snack, 1 Quick Service and 1 Table Service) + refillable Resort mug
If you were staying at a Value you could upgrade from Quick Service to DDP by paying the difference in price between the two

Does anyone remember, What time online to book before calling opens up?

Also if DV holders get first crack at booking, wondering if there will be only one way to book (calling DV)?
